Thai By Thai serves a menu of authentic Thai cuisine prepared by a Thai chef.
Went here after a workout with the better half. We ordered the the lunch specials. I ordered the ginger beef with rice and better half ordered the pad thai. The pad thai tasted too tangy for my liking but was still tasty. The ginger beef was very good. The presentation was decent and the quantity was the norm. The restaurant is small and the parking out front can be a challenge. I believe their is more parking in the back. One thing I have to note is to watch where you are walking as the tile floors can be very slippy. There is a carpet runner across the floor but if you steer off it , you more than likely fall. Be warned if you use the washroom as there is no carpet and the floor is very slippery. Pleasant experience and will try again in the near future.
It was a bit pricey but I'd definitely pay for quality. This food is delicious and authentically Thai. I have been back again and again. And will continue to visit this awesome restaurant. They messed up my pick up order once and I called them. They apologized and fixed it right away. That's great customer service.
Finally we find a great Thai restaurant in Surrey. The food was very authentic and the ingredients tasted very fresh. We decided to try out their lunch special and three of us ordered separate dishes. All I can say is wow! The flavors were very savory and we left wanting more. I ordered a spicy beef dish with green beans and this dish was absolutely wonderful and full of mouth watering flavor. This dish came with a soup and spring roll all of which were fresh. We can't wait to go back. This place and Talay Thai are my only two favorite Thai restaurants in the lower mainland areas.
We ordered take out from Thai by Thai. Our favourite Thai restaurant is on Burrard street. We have tried numerous Thai restaurants closer to our house in Surrey and none of them have come close. The food at Thai by Thai was delicious! I am very picky when it comes to the chicken satays. Most places use low quality, rubbery chicken. These satays were great! We ordered our dishes medium spice, and I thought the heat of the food was definitely a "medium" spice level. Also, the young guy working there was very friendly when we picked up our food. We will definitely eat here again!
So we've eaten there twice with mixed results. Good food but no beer to go with it kinda kills the experience for me. They have solid phad kee mao which is my favourite dish... not to self, don't get it "hot" next time just because you like your food spicier than the average person.
We ate here last night, and I have to say they have the best Thai foor in the lower mainland.
Rumour has it that the owner/chef is from The Thai House chain. We found this to be better than Thai house and others around.
We asked other patrons what they thought and all agreed it was excellent. Thank God I have a decent Thai restaurant to go to.
