Texx Big Burger features beef and chicken burgers made from fresh meat, never frozen.
Went here with a friend from the recommendations from other Dinehere foodies. I had the Double Bacon Cheese burger and my friend had the Tex burger. We shared a medium size fries and both had cola soda. The burger was good and the dressing you are able to order for your burger is great. I had grilled onions, japenos, mushrooms, lettuce, tomatoes, ketchup and bar-b-q sauce. The burger itself was good , hot and fresh. It came out in a brown paper bag with the order sheet attached to it. The medium fries was huge. My friend and I ate some and I brought the rest home where I was able to feed the kids and then some. The price for my burger was $9.49 and I found the value was much better than places like Red Robin. The ambiance is nothing special but it fulfill its needs. If I ever have the craving and the appetite I might try the Burger challenge which is a 2lb burger with fries that has to be eaten within 30 mins. One day.
An unexpected stop at Texx burger today. Greeted by a wonderful man perhaps the owner? Great sense of humour and very friendly!
I had the single cheese burger with mayo, pickles, ketchup and onions. WOW, so good, great flavor. And toppings are free.
rainbowcrab had the single cheese burger with bacon, and she loved the burger giving it an 8 out of 10!
Fries are hand made but a small one is good for 2 people it is so big!
We will be back!
We want to try the Nathan's hot dog next time we go.
Double Bacon Cheese Burger, Fries and Dr. Pepper - As a wise man once said "Hamburgers! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast". Every time i drove by I thought to myself "I hear they got some tasty burgers. I ain't never had one myself. How are they?" I was out this weekend and had to stop by. Being an meatatarian from Texas the name alone appealed to me. Customer service wasn't that great. Probably didn't help it was near closing time on a Sunday. I tried to chat up the two people working but they didn't seem much interested. Overall the service wasn't great. When I say that I mean specifically they weren't overly friendly or talkative. However, the order placement and the food delivery was fairly quick and painless.
Noone has mentioned yet, but we saw them literally cut the potatoes in front of us before going into the fryer. That's a good sign. I got the Double Bacon Cheese. I was tempted with the big Texx but I'm trying to watch my weight....< >.> The buns we great, the ingredients were spot on. Both my wife and I were truly impressed with the burger and the fries (not to mention the amazing amount of fries). The junior burger with fries was only about $6 the bacon double with fries and a pop were around the $12-13 mark. Oh and most importantly they have Dr. Pepper in their fountain dispenser, a huge bonus in my books.
I left the restaurant with a single quote in mind. "Well, if you like burgers give 'em a try sometime. I can't usually get 'em myself because my girlfriend's a vegitarian which pretty much makes me a vegitarian. But I do love the taste of a good burger. Mm-mm-mm. You know what they call a Quarter Pounder with cheese in France?" Thanks Jules.
Great big juicy burgers with great selection of toppings!! I really like the Five Guys burger a lot too but it is like comparing apples to oranges. Been back twice in 3 days!! Even their chicken burger is big and tasty (hate a bite of my wife's burger) This is my 13 yr old son's favorite burger now.
best burgers ive had anywhere hands down. better than 5 guys and veras.
free toppings and not crazy expensive i always get the double bacon cheese burger and its massive i dont even need fries and its only $10 for just the burger.
service isent great neither is ambience but its a burger joint in surrey what do you expect?.
they also offer a "man Vs. food" style challenge and a frequent card if you get 8 stamps you get a free burger.
I just saw the new post someone made and I was going to make a post last week but didn't get around to it. I have gone back twice to this place and while it still makes a decent burger, I have to agree with the previous poster about the customer service. I have no idea what has happened here, but the service went to hell. The owner and his wife both work here. Mostly the wife is handling the orders and payment. She seems very unhappy recently and she shows it to the customers. They seem to have all their friends eating their daily so it's loud, messy and very poor service. Very inprofessional. I don't want to even go back.. The last burger I tried which was the halibut was terrible. Over cooked, dry.. too expensive. I'm sad this is happening. It seemed like such a promising place with decent food when it opened. But like all restaurants popping up these days, people are opening them to make a quick buck, failing to realize customer service and quality are NEEDED in order to sustain and grow the business. If Texx keeps heading the way it is, I suspect it will be out of business in less than 2 years. I hope it can learn from the mistakes, or read the comments here and turn it around. I really want a good burger joint in the neighborhood.
Burgers are ok but the owner is emotionally retarded. He is arrogant and know-all, but I guess anyone can sell burgers this days. No customer service, the place is cold, the owner yells at people, so I don’t see why you are praising this place. Just another burger joint with bad service.
