Good value, good food, good service, pleasant experience.

Today marked my second dining experience at Rosie's. It was more than satisfying, just as good as the first time I dined here. I was greeted with smiles when I walked in and offered a beverage right away, which was served before I could count to ten. Although the specials board had some attractive-looking deals, I chose sausage and eggs. They were cooked just as I like them, and everything was hot when it was served. The fried potatoes that were included are a hallmark of Rosie's. Anyone who says they aren't good must have been eating at another restaurant, because Rosie's fried potatoes are perfectly cooked. She takes great pride in them, with good reason. I would go back just for this delicious dish. I love good fried potatoes, and these can't be beat. You will have to travel a long trail to find a cafe that is as good as Rosie's. It is clean (the washrooms are spotless, too) and not at all fancy. Just plain good food with friendly service and no unneccessary frills. Good coffee, too, and the coffee pot is left on your table. You don't need to ask for jam, jelly and peanut butter, either, for your toast. It's all placed on the table. Even the ketchup is real Heinz, not one of those tasteless, cheaper substitutes. Yet the price you're charged will probably surprise you. It's more than reasonable. If you're hungry in Surrey, and want a good, tasty, solid meal at a decent price in a nice, bright cafe with good service, then Rosie's Country Cafe is for you.

I decided to go there for breakfast.I ordered the half bennie with mushrooms.I asked for the egg to be medium poached.I also asked for a glass of water. The egg came almost raw. There was a small side of fried potatoes which were burned and were garnished with a few green onions.A dried up piece of orange was at the side of the plate. The water had a metallic taste. The waitress never came around to ask me how the food was but was at the back having a loud conversation with the cook. The restaurant is very non descript.I would not recommend this place for a meal...quite disappointing.
