I used to go to Pho Vinh all the time, it was great, fast and local. I recently went back for some Pho and was greeted by and unfamiliar face. I ordered the Tai Nam ( rare steak, well done brisket in rice noodle soup ) with spicy broth. The flavors in the broth were quite nice, the noodles were nicely done. There was a lack of meat compared to what is normally given, and I had to ask for sprouts, jalapenos, and limes, I don't know if this is because I am not of Asian decent but the waitress seemed to be taken back when I asked for something that should come with a normal bowl of Pho. The fresh lemon soda was quite nice and refreshing not too sweet, just right. I don't know if I would come back but this will definitely not be my regular Pho spot.
Food was not worth the price. For example:
Combo 2: 2 Spring rolls, 1 Salad Roll, Pork Brochette, and Vermicelli.
$13.95!!!
Other Vietnamese Restaurants have the exact same combo and it's $10.95!
And the noodle soups there have different prices, depending on what meats are in the soup. Other places just have one price for all soups.
