The Pantry features a menu of Canadian family classics prepared using the freshest, quality ingredients.
I've been to The Pantry a number of times over the years for sure. I just have to keep remembering; that there is a reason why there are so few patrons in a restaurant like this.
Taste wise the food isn't bad. A friend of mine and I were going to actually go to Knight and Day, but another friend of ours who works near Guildford started work at 4:00, so we decided to go somewhere close to see him as well.
The service was as one would expect, but the food, even though decent.....WAY OVER PRICED. I started with a $10.49 order of chicken strips.....5 small pieces (7-Eleven can do better than that) I honestly was insulted and asked the waitress if the kitchen made a mistake.....she said that was the way it actually is. I regret not telling the waitress to take the order back and that I refuse to pay for such a thing.....for entree I had a double burger and fries. The burger was ok, the fries were probably bought from some super market frozen section.
One of my friends had clam chowder and said there was more bacon than clams.....and it was way over priced.
The waitress was ok. but never asked how our food was, and even when we paid the host....nothing.
There is a reason why people don't come here and the place is almost empty. Hopefully I will remember
