"Come and taste the difference at Pakwan House. Fresh produce is used and the food is always cooked fresh to order. Our spices combine to produce deliciously authentic as well as different dishes. The menu comprises of prominent Pakistani and Indian dishes, be it Tandoori Chicken or Seekh Kabab, we have all the varieties. You cannot find any dish anywhere comparable to our mouthwatering Handi Chicken and delicious Bhuna Gosht. We only use Halal Meat in all our products."
This place is hidden in an office/industrial complex. In fact the restaurant sign shares space with a security company signage. There is no ambiance, best for inexpensive take-out. I tried a chicken biryani. It had ample halal meat in it and the dish tasted fresh. However the biryani rice consisted of mostly broken rice pieces. This is a huge no no as a good quality rice should be used for biryani's. Also the rice tasted quite strong and different almost as if they cooked the rice directly without washing it in clear running water first. This was more noticeable because the spicing for the dish was quite light. I will return to try their butter chicken and naan. It's probably best to avoid the rice dishes here.

Sadly the next time I tried this place I opted for the butter chicken. It was terrible. Pale chunks of meat in a pale tomato / milk? / cream gravy. It was the worst butter chicken I had in my whole life.
We tried this place twice and the food just is not good we will not return. While the butter chicken was a complete culinary disaster the biryani was at least edible but not good. There are much better Pakistani/Indian restaurants stick to those. This place is inexpensive but what's the point of paying for food when it's so bad you can't even finish it.
Last night I got a chance to visit pakwan House Restaurant with a friend, and experience one of the best Mutton Karahi,Nihari and chicken Tikka. My this experience reminds my my old dine at Bundu Khan Lahore. So i highly recomend this restaurant.Their Food is tasty as well seems fresh to me its one of the best outdoor dinne i had outside.Their environment is normal and food prices were very good.
This definitely is a hidden jewel in surrey, even though they haven't done massive advertising like some other places, they don't really have to. People are coming to this place by word of mouth and that's how I ended up going. The first time I went , they were very quick , food was was top notch and prices are very reasonable for the quality of food they provide. You can actually taste the freshness in their dishes compared to other places where sometimes food tastes stale.
The second time was just a pick up, but I did it to try and see if the quality or flavor of the food was different from the first time, nope, exactly the same.
Would definitely recommend the handi chicken, never had a dish like it anywhere else, Nihari is the best i've had , and is just as good or better than Al watan in Vancouver and the kababs are amazing.
My brother announced one day that he discovered a fantastic place which sells 'bundoo khan walay tikka and kababs', for those who are unaware of what I just referred to, it is a place a popular chain of restaurants all over Pakistan which are known for their delicious barbecue foods. When we went there it was totally packed and our food came after 40 minutes or so, nevertheless our scrumptious tikkas and kababs were truly worth waiting for. Yes the taste was similar to 'Barbecue Tonights' and 'bundoo Khan's' yummy treats but minus the greasiness. I have been living in Canada for the last 4 years and I can truly say I have never tasted a better tikka. The second time I went there, it wasnt that packed and therefore we recieved more attention, unlike before. So if you have a craving for delicious pakistani food that knocks your socks off, this truly is a place to go!
