With several locations in the Lower Mainland, Nando's Chicken offers flame grilled chicken and side dishes such as coleslaw, spicy rice and spring mix salads.
I tend to be anemic, and instead of just relying on iron pills I like to get food sources of iron. Unfortunately like many people I hate chicken livers. Nando's is the one place I can have them. They come in their peri-peri dressing and the taste of the livers are overwhelmed by the spicyness. The prices for their liver has crept up over the years from $4 to the current $7 for the same small container purchase unfortunately. I recommend getting these if you are in a group to share, it's not the best to eat all at once by yourself, liver is quite rich. Also it's served with one bun, but more like two buns are needed. I like Nando's overall, their spring mix salad with pumpkin seeds is nice, as are their new veggies. I also like that they offer the hummus dip. Of course the star of Nando's is their flame-grilled chicken. Recommended. It's sort of a fast food type place with wholesome food. I miss Toronto as there were lots of authentic Portugeuse owned mom and pop shops selling Portugeuse flame grilled chicken at competitive prices.
I go to Nando's restaurants quite frequently since I absolutely LOVE their chicken.. in fact, I would say their chicken is possibly the best I've had (other than my mother's chicken kebabs.. but that's a whole other story). This particular location is small but nice.. very clean and the folks who run it are nice enough. I've always found the pricing at Nando's to be a little on the high side, especially for what you get.. but when you taste the chicken, I always think it's worth it. For me this location is very convenient since I live nearby and I'll continue to go there whenever I get that craving for spicy good chicken!
