After driving past the "New Ownership" sign at Jacks pub for months now i finally decided to check it out. My friend and I headed there on Friday evening for a drink and meal. The server infromed us that they were currently launching their new homemade beef burger. My friend tried the burger and said it was great. I decided to try the butter chicken flatbread. The combination of butter chicken on a flatbread was unreal and a great value as it also comes with a side. Overall the pub was busy, very clean, comfortable and the food was great. The staff was very welcoming and we had a great time. I will be planning my next trip back with friends very soon.
I would never come here if it wasn't 3 blocks from me, but for a neighbourhood pub it has good drink specials, and really good food specials. Me and a few friends who live near me go for 1/2 price appies (everyday from 3-6) once in awhile.
It looks like a pub that was going to start out looking nice then they ran out of money. cheap patio chairs, old uncomfortable chairs inside, and stickers on the tv.
Service has been everywhere, but unfortunately we usually get a server who is GRUMPY!!! we always tip well, but we have given up trying to tip her well to see if that makes her happy. work for your more than 10%, don't expect it for frowning. or at least ask us how we're doing or anything similar!!!!
If you live around here, like walking distance, I recommend, but if your driving I would hit up Guildford station or Big ridge
