Quiet sushi house in Whally across the street from Surrey Place Mall with sushi, sashimi, lunch and dinner boxes. Formerly "Mana Sushi" and now under new management.
It is a small busy Japanese sushi restaurant, yes, and the Ambiance is not bad, just some american pop music and a lot of people coming and leaving in order to pick-up or dine in.
BUT
First pleasant thing : they serve free hot tea and they refill it without need to re-ask.
Second : you have so many choices !
Last, but not least : the food is excellent ! The taste is original and incredible !

On a Friday ngiht outing in Whally we decided to go to Izumo Sushi to see what Whalley has to offer in the form of sushi.
Very clean and quiet place to eat with some J-pop (Japanese pop music) playing while we were sitting and contemplating on what to order.
The food here is like any other sushi place with nothing too special really, maki rolls, cone rolls, sashini, and bento boxes.
The dinner boxes were around $12.95 10 $14.95 depending on what items you wanted in them, it also includes teryaki beef or chicken on rice, California rolls or sashimi, veggie sunomono, 5 pieces of tempura, and a salad "the chef special" seemed like whatecerwas leftover in the kitchen which just happened to be edamame, it was good regardless.
Service on the other hand was strange, the waitress was polite and friendly but after we ordered our food we never saw her again as she did not refill our tea, asked how any of the food was, and when we did see her she was sitting at a table eating noodles with her friend. It took 15 minutes for the bill to come to us and when it arrived the chef behind the sushi bar gave it to us. My brother said to the chef "the food was excellent" only for the chef to give all three of us there a very unusual look.
Hard to say if I would come back as the food was run of the mill sushi and the service was absent at times
