Small cozy sushi house ran by a couple and family. Excellent party trays.
I go to HIro sushi all the time. The food quality is very consistant. Lunch bob B is a great deal : california roll, chicken teriyaki, miso soup, salad, and vegetable tempura.
The BC is the best in langley. The California roll is very light. If you're feeling rich, get the goldrush roll. It's a meal on its own. Sashimi portions are huge.
The atmosphere is pretty bare bones, but that doesn't matter when food is this good
This is a family run sushi house so the service is always excellent
I have been going to Hiro Sushi for the past few years because of their great prices. My family and friends dine here often as well but we have now decided to venture to the competition for suhi.
Long story short the owners of the strip mall where Hiro is located raised the lease on all of the stores in the mall thus Hiro Sushi had to increase their prices.
Their "Lunch box B" for the old price of $7.95 you got four veggie tempura, rice, teriyaki chicken, eight California rolls, and miso soup which was a great deal. Now they uped the price by a dollar and you get two veggie tempura and one prawn. Not a favorite anymor.
The rolls have dramatically increased as well, yam tempura roll was $2.25 now it is $3.00
Having been to the place with their raised prices the restaurant is not as busy as before, the regular patrons are the ones from the Korean H-Mart next door.
I really liked this place but I can find cheaper sushi about 5 minutes away with the competitions regular menu and specials way cheaper.
Hiro Sushi, you have been a good friend in the world but now it is a good time to say goodbye
Reasonable priced good food is one good selling point of this place and the friendly service is the other.
We went there for dinner few times, and love this busy but organised place. Food is not fancy, but plates are big and the home style cooking always tastes good.
Will go back for sure.
I can never get enough! If you are a sushi lover like myself, you love huge portions; Hiro Sushi is untouchable in this department. With it's home style feel, they are always welcoming with a smile. The cute couple, always excited to meet and greet you with a hello, are always grateful for your presence.
On to the food. While I have had better tasting rice, Hiro Sushi is still middle of the pack, with a slight blandness setting them back from the leaders. However, their portions are huge! Try the large dynamite roll, it sets you back a mere $7.50, and with 10 already huge pieces, its like a meal in itself. The sushi can fall apart quite easily, depending on the time of day you buy it, which all in all can be a bit frusterating.
While their decor is a bit unsatisfying, Hiro Sushi is known for its home style cooking. If you are hungry and do not want to pay extra for that sushi "experience".. Hiro is the best place, by far, to go in Langley. They will always show you that they are happy you came.
