An authentic cuisine fom the islands of Fiji
The owners have "Fijian Style" on their menu. I asked them how it's different than regular Indian curry and they said they use no dairy products in the curry - no ghee, no cream, etc... Might be a good pick for lactose intolerant people. Other than that it's quite similar. I had the Goat curry with Roti. The curry was a little liquidy for my taste, but had all the right blends of spices to make it flavourful with a little kick of heat. The rotis (the cook packed 4 or 5 - Bonus!) in my takeaway were nice and moist and a little singed on the outside - just the way I like it. The place was quite smoky because the cook had just made a new batch, so it was nice that it was fresh. It's a nice variation from the regular curry restaurant.
Fijian curry! Sounds very intriguing and it was well worth the stop for lunch.
They have a relatively small menu but prices are very good and portions quite large - food is simple but very good.
Service was excellent and staff seemed genuinely interested in making sure we were happy.
Go give this place a try - the vegetarian dishes were great.
