We had a bite to eat for lunch today and decided to hit up Elena's Country Kitchen in Cloverdale. It's a small place that we have driven by many times but never have stopped in to eat.
Ambiance: It's kind of like eating in a daycare as the table cloths have pictures of farm equipment and usual country fair type things. There are small tables that seat either 2,4, or 6 and feels very cozy inside as a lot of regulars come in and pour their own coffee.
Service: At first t was hard to understand the fellow serving us, we assumed he is Elana's husband. A jolly Eastern European fellow who has a unique humor about him. Friendly but surly at the same time. He is always joking around with regulars a lot. Food came out very fast roughly 10 minutes and there were six other people there.
The Food: Delicious and very high quality. I had the club sandwich $7.95, my brother had the combo which consisted of three cabbage rolls, two sausages, four perogies, and a home made bun $6.43 and my girlfriend had the breakfast special, two eggs, toast, bacon or sausage, and home made fries $5.99
At the end of our meal we were very happy with the food quality and service. You can go there and get a meal for $10.00 including tip. I will no longer waste my time eating at Denny's, Ricky's, or White Spot as this place gives you a nice quiet meal in Cloverdale
