Dragon's is a well hidden gem, great local Chinese restaurant. It's located just off 160th A St and 85th Ave in Surrey.
My sister and I got invited over to her ex boyfriend's house so he could treat us to dinner. He wanted Chinese from this place and he has done so many times and said it was good. I wanted pizza but we all just agreed to eat Chinese food.
Food: I ordered 3 different combos at about 9 bucks each and they both ordered 2 combos each at 9 bucks as well.
When the food arrived, I got 3 big take out containers and to my surprise there was tons of rice in each one and barely any sweet and sour pork. The same went for my sister's and her ex's food. Deep fried prawns and 3 egg rolls came with our food as well and it tasted boring and of grease. There was literally 3 lbs of rice in one of my containers. What was this? The Ultimate Rice Combo? Not impressed!
Value: 73 dollars for our rice filled feast. What the fudge is that all about? We got ripped off for sure.
Ambience: We got delivery so I don't know.
I aint ordering from this place no more and neither should you unless you want pounds of rice for an exorbitant amount of money. I suggest you go to Safeway for Chinese food. Not recommended.
I find chinese food to be hit or miss a lot of the time, and I always find this place to be consistant in their quality and service.
It's a hidden hole in the wall type of restaurant and I would love to give it more points in the service department, but as I always call for takeout - I can only give the star towards how they are when I come in for pick up :)
And you can't beat 10% off pick up orders :)
A tiny hole in the wall in Surrey. You know the food is good just by the fact they're able to stay in business.
When I lived near here I would order at least once a month and the food was consistently good.
There is no ambience to speak of although it is sort of entertaining eating in there. It is sort of like packing a few dinner tables in your living room and calling it a restaurant.
This place is great for take-out. I don't mind eating in but it is a very small venue. I've recommended this restaurant to lots of people and I get mixed reviews. But what I can tell you is that I live very close to this place so I tried it out 3 years ago and I've been getting my Chinese food fix from there since.
