Boston Pizza offers a casual dining atmosphere with over 100 menu items including a selection of pizzas, pastas and a wide variety of appetizers, meal-sized salads, entrees and desserts. The restaurant also has plenty of big screen TVs to catch the big game.
Close to work, good food, decent service and a great place for large work lunches. Can't go wrong. All BP's are the same, but this one works if it's not too busy. The servers are always friendly and the wait for food isn't too long. It's an in and out kind of place so don't be expecting a stellar welcome from the host/hostess. We've probably tried the entire Pasta Tuesday menu, and some of their regular items - overall the food is not bad.
I'm usually afraid eat at Boston Pizza, as normally I have only had good experience with thier appetizers. Anyhow, I took a friend out for her birthday, and since it was her birthday I told her that she should decide where we go.....AND she said she was in the mood for pasta, and wanted to go to Boston Pizza....I was a little scared, because last time I had pasta at Boston Pizza, I was truly dissapointed.
Anyhow, today was Pasta, and I didn't really want to spend my usual $20 on Wings, so decided to take a chance and try thier pasta. I ordered the fettucini alfredo, and my friend had the cheese ravioli.
Unlike last time, this time my pasta actually had flavour. I did like it to be honest, but it's not the best pasta I have had, but didn't mind it too much.....for the $6.95 that I paid, I would say it was a good deal. Also tried a little bit of my friends ravioli and I liked that as well.
The service was pretty good. Our waitress was great and friendly. I would give her between 3-4 out of 5.
Anyhow, we left satisfied enough......It's worth coming on Tuesdays for cheap pasta, but you could probably find better pasta elsewhere
The food isn't very good, the service is average and getting and appy plus a main is going to set you back 25-30 at a place that is delivering fast food-quality meals. If you must go, give their thai chicken bites a try, it's the only reason to be in that place.
I was totally disappointed with the experience and ambiance at Boston Pizza! Inside was unexciting, cold and just a drain of energy! Hostess was unfriendly and snooty, she didn't have any expression on her face whatsoever, no smile or anything! Very surprised they would allow somebody to work there with that attitude! The waitress was friendly and gave not bad service. There was a pizza special on Sunday so I ordered the large Boston Royal for myself. I was very hungry and just came out of the gym... Had a few beers too. Fruit Flies Fruit Flies BUZZING NEAR & IN MY FOOD! I should have told them! But I was exhausted and down to two slices and said what the heck, give me my bill and I'm out of here for good! Boston Pizza you left me disappointed! Completely disgusted!!!
I used to live a ten min walk from this place and I'd come here often for dates or after work with coworkers to chill. It got to the point where the staff knew me by first name (and I knew them and about their lives) and it was a great place to go for decent food at reasonable prices and a fun date. Hey, if the guy wasn't all the great, at least I could laugh about it with the staff later.
Fast forward five years. WHAT HAPPENED?!?!?! I ordered my usual Greek salad and Popeye pizza with an iced tea. I ended up sending the salad back literally over 10 times since the tomatoes tasted rotten. The pizza was practically RAW (crust not cooked properly and the spinach was half frozen). Each time we talked to the servers (there were two of them), they got ruder and abusive to the point of making us very concerned for our well-being. THEN it took almost an hour to get the bill. I ended up walking to the back, pizza in hand, demanding to see the manager and get a bill, reduced for my troubles. There was a fairly large party of us since it was a going-away party for a co-worker and none of them got the correct order, either. The manager never showed, so I wrote on the receipt that it was the WORST experience I'd ever had and neither I nor my colleagues would be back.
Since we work in the mall, we complained to other mall employees as well as our co-workers within the company. This kind of thing shouldn't happen. What a shame!
I went to this place a few nights ago and had a great time. The food was good and the service was great. They were playing the Canucks game and everyone seemed to have a good time. We had some pizza and pasta and the food came out quickly and hot. Our server was friendly and polite and the place was clean. I had read some of the reviews on this site before and was a little hesitent based on what had been said, but that's not what I found. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the place.
I took my two kids to this Boston Pizza location on a Sunday. We'd never eaten at Boston Pizza before.
The promotion that caught my eye was the kids meals for 3.99 (that's a pretty good value, right?....a main..typical kid size, a side (my kids ordered fries) a drink ad a dessert.
My son ordered Bugs and Cheese. This was...well, your typical chain sauce (as in, not authentic alfredo sauce) with a strong mozzerella flavour. The pasta was cooked appropriately, and really, for, essentially, "mac and cheese" can you go wrong?
The fries for both kids were soggy and reminded us all of school cafeteria fries. The dessert chosen was a fruit cup (a dole fruit cup...like from the grocery store) and a "mini pizza" which was about the size of a twoonie. The drinks were served in a reusable plastic cup with bendy straws (great if you bring this home, but what about the party of 12 with 8 kids in the next section who left theirs? I sure hope they have a recycling program).
My daughter ordered the kids spaghetti. Again, the pasta was cooked appropriately, but the sauce was not to our liking. It was more of a Greek Sauce than an Italian Sauce (which is what we expect at a pizza joint).
I ordered a large pineapple, extra-cheese pizza. I was TOTALLY dissapointed. It was hot. The bottom was crispy (though soaked in some sort of oil to make it almost like Pizza hut's pan pizza bottom). The cheese was the best part (they did add extra). But the crust and the sauce (two integral parts of a pizza) were DISGUSTING. There was ZERO flavour to the crust. Did they even use salt?? It was flat and really gross. The sauce was the same sauce they used on my daughter's spaghetti. Blach!
We will never go back to another Boston Pizza again. Never.
The Service was ok and the atmosphere was a typical chain restaurant feel. I liked the kids menus and "games" and colouring crayons that came in the beginning. They've got a great idea, but the product is really poor. You could get better tasting pizza at a dollar pizza place and for a lot LESS $$$
I've given up all hope that a truly GOOD pizza place exists in this province!
