don't look at the outside and the fact its located next to a campground, its gourmet food dining once you get inside, the chef has really put a lot of thought into the menu, all of their appetizers are to die for, especially their cheese souffle. you have a view of shannon falls and its a cozy place although just a bit dated, but the rustic feel is just right for this place, the campground next to it is famous for its many wild bunnies running around.
their tiramisu is by far the best i ever had, i prefer their dinner the most, also ask them about their specials, it's a shame that they are closed on mondays and tuesday, and even more sad that a fancy development is about to level that area sometime in the future, experience their dishes while you can.
The location is stunning and we were so excited to see that the Copper House had re-opened; actually from outside it is pretty hard to tell it is open, but the old Copper House was a hidden gem - OK it's new management, but you can still hope. Our hope was shattered - it didn't seem ready to open, very bare inside, zero ambience and only bottled beers (and don't ask me about the Rest Rooms - I wouldn't want to put you off your food).
A very lengthy, but uninspiring menu - but we so wanted to believe, so we both selected burgers (always yummy at the old Copper House). The first warning was that the vinegar only came in little plastic pots - then the food arrived..... My wife's comment summed it up best "fairground food". Looked like the cheapest possible ingredients and tasted worse. From the "value" Bread Rolls, to the burger, to the slice of Kraft cheese - $13 each was laughable - if we'd been in any mood to laugh. I understand the previous owners have opened a new restaurant in Squamish - that's where we will eat next. Bye Bye Copper House RIP (no flowers please).
Oh no I used to love going here. I think it must have changed ownership because it went from being one of the better restaurants in Squamish to a place I will unfortunately never go to again. I went there for my anniversary last night (becuase I loved it the last time I went last summer) and got what i had last summer - same price but this time it was swimming in butter and really gross. The sides for the baked potato came in plastic containers you get at a carnival fair - not for a $23 meal. The wine - two choice (red or white - lol) and the bottled beer was warm. Oww please pick it up guys as I'd love to support you but not if it is like this.
The patio is great and the service is always great so at least they have that going for them. I would only go again if I was going for a glass of "red" and "white" wine and that is it.
