Went for dinner with a few friends, good laughs and conversation but have since forgotten the food.
I ordered Pan Roasted Free Range Cowichan Chicken Breast, Green Peppercorn and Spinach Risotto,
Marsala Jus. Fancy names for plain food. The chicken was tender, cooked to perfection but altogether bland. The risotto was the same, cooked perfectly and nice, but I had forgotten all about it the next day. My wife got Filet of Alberta Beef,Wild Mushroom Duxelle and Foie Gras, Parsnip and New Potato Puree, Wilted Swiss Chard, Merlot Reduction. It was basically steak and potatoes. The steak was delicious, it actually melted in your mouth it was so tender. The meal was nice, but that's all it was. And for over $600 on our bill, we wanted to be blown away.
