Pretty good, but a little pricey...

Mrs. C and I were back in Richmond looking for a feed. We spotted this place, and based on the reasonable experiences at Pittsburg and Bauhinia, we dashed in. I think the décor is slightly nicer than P but not as good as B. The place was clean and comfortable (including the w/c) and the service was top notch, although I prefer if the staff don’t hover.

I already knew what was on the menu since it is about the same as the other 2 restaurants in the chain, and I went with curry beef brisket on rice. It was pretty good. My beloved dinner companion had basa fish and rice in a combo, and she shared her dong café and borscht with me. The borscht was good, with enough beef and a hearty broth. The iced coffee was too weak for my taste, but some folks like it that way. The fish was reported to be good although I noticed the portion size was a little small. Alas, the basa came with corn niblets, which seems to be a staple of HK cuisine. They actually have it on pizza in HK. But I digress.

The meal was pretty good although slightly pricey. I guess you pay for the atmosphere.

Recommended if you want to spend the bucks.

I really enjoy coming here to eat, however, I went yesterday and discovered that the menu had changed, and I didn't enjoy myself as much. Nonetheless I still like it there.

FOOD : I've ordered beef rice noodle (probably more detailed name than that, but i don't know what else to call it) and some sort of fried noodle. I didn't like the fried noodles because they added curry (without mentioning the addition of this spice on the menu) so i was quite surprised by that. the dish did not taste bad, however, i would have preferred something else, or just plain.

SERVICE : very nice waitresses who work there! service is good, no complaints.

VALUE : i'm always very full after eating there. the prices changed too, i think. but it's not too bad. my curry noodles and drink came to roughly $15. If i don't share my food, i pack it up each time.

AMBIANCE : I like it there. it's cozy, not too busy everywhere. quiet, calm :)

I went there with my girlfriend today, and it was our first time to try this restaurant. The ambiance was quite nice, and the restaurant was almost full during lunch hours. We ordered lobster combo for two, which included lobster salad, lobster soup, a whole lobster dish and dessert for two. The food was very yummy and worth the price. We will definitely go there again.

It's no longer called the "Winsor",it's changed to "Sensus",i believe it's with a "u" instead of an "e".The menu has changed, including the owners. The staff, and interior is still the same. I ordered the Seafood Boullibaise which was quite disappointing. The taste was bland and the portion size was just way too small for a $19.99 dinner! No wonder it came with rice,or spaghetti of choice.

The first time I went to this restaurant was for my friend's birthday celebration, and it was great. The food tastes great! If you order a meal, it usually come with soup and drink and desert or appetizer. I went there a couple times after and the sides added on to the meals were different each time! I guess I like variety =) The ambiance is mediocre, they take visa, unlike many Asian restaurants which I went to. The service is alright, I'd go again for their food.
