Take out pizza, pasta, steak and souvlaki.
The owners seem like nice people, so it pains me to write this, but ... I found a hair in my food. Yes, a hair. woven in amongst the bland rice that came with my chicken souvlaki. Not pleasant. Maybe it was just a one time thing, maybe it's never happened before - but it happened to me, and I won't be coming back because of it :(
Very disappointed.
I'm surprised there wasn't already a review on this place. It's been around for 20+ years. I've driven by for years thinking it was a bakery because of the name. I work in the area and a friend of mine suggested it for lunch one day. We ordered the house special pizza, I was expecting it to taste like all the other smaller pizza places but to my surprise it was better. To keep this short, I never eat pizza crust, but I always eat theirs. It has a nice crunchiness to it. The dough is made of whole wheat, they use skim milk mozza cheese, toppings are generous and the crust tastes good. You'll be amazed as you pick up a slice of pizza that the box is NOT covered in grease. By the time you eat a couple slices you don't feel gross and heavy.
I've been back many times trying all sorts of different items. Their pizza is a sure winner, the pasta tastes as you would expect (good, but not gourmet obviously). I've heard the chicken wings and calamari are good also, but I try and stay away from fried foods but I'm sure it's good.
The place is small and quaint. It's a take out only place, so there's no seating for inside dining. Looks a bit run down from the outside, but the inside is clean and the people inside are pleasant.
If you're sick of eating greasy and heavy pizza, give wheat house a shot.
I got the medium house special pizza here,
and it was only 12.50, with tax.
The house special is the one with every topping.
the nice thing about this place is that prices for the different size pizzas are including unlimited toppings!! so throw on as much as you want!
The food was really good, and the crust was whole wheat!
The only thing I didn't like about the food was that the taste was pretty dull. I had to have it with hot sauce and ranch. haha
The ingredients were fresh, and not greasy at all! that was the good part.
made me feel fresh even after eating all that
