We were craving Thai food and were really hungry, so instead of carryout we decided to go and eat at the restaurant instead, boy was that a bad choice!! The food is good i have to admit, i love their Pad Thai and Red Curry. The spring rolls are crispy and delicious, but the service is poor. We had to wait for 20 minutes just for someone to take our order. After we had our appetizers. it was an incredible one hour wait for our main course!! Maybe it was a bad day!! Would surely give it a go once more for their spicy, warming yummy food.. Do try Thai House.
Last time I went to Thai House in Richmond was about 2 years ago when I got a really bad experience with the food and service. (Cold Satay iirc ;o)
However, last night I returned to this place with my girlfriend and it was simply incredible. We had their satay (again lol), and they had the BEST peanut sauce ever. I have tried both salathai and Tropika but Thai House's peanut sauce is just overwhelming. After that, we had the green curry chicken (mild) and the fried tofu (dont' remember the actual Thai name for that). Both of them were just amazing. For the desert, we had the fried banana ice-cream; my gf loved it but I was too full to enjoy it :/
The service was very improved and the servers (nice touch on the Thai-style sash btw) were very attentive and quick.
I highly recommend people who want to try some good Thai food or have had previous bad experience with this location to come try again. You won't be disappointed!
