Serves authentic Szechuan cuisine. Cash only.
The restaurant's atmosphere is amazing but unfortunately that is as far as the praises go for this place. The food is mediocre at best. Imagine Aberdeen food court quality food served in a better quality environment. In addition the food price is just too high to justify the quality. Basically, you are paying for the environment and atmosphere more than the food itself.
If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant with authentic, and classy atmosphere and don't mind to pay money for it this is the place for you. However, if you are looking for good eating or snacking food you might as well as just walk down the street and go into Bubble Fruity for a quick snack or heck Aberdeen.
This is one of the Vancouver area's best restaurants in any category. Still largely a big secret, I think, outside the Chinese community. So discreet in outward appearance, it is easy to miss even were you standing in front of the restaurant. Inside is like a jewel box with old Chinese chairs and tables. The pickled fish soup is out of this world, though I know it must be strange to complain about the huge portions. Excellent food. Very authentic tasting spicy Chinese food.
