Tired of going to a hot pot place in richmond and having to deal with crap service and crap quality food? Ok, this might not completely dismiss that cause I come here regularly and the service sometimes varies, but overall this is way better than the bigger hot pot places where the service absolutely sucks.
They try to keep the food as fresh as possible so they often run out of some less ordered items. The meats are thinly sliced so you don't really get the good texture out of them but everything is fresh so you won't get one plate of good meat, another plate that looks like it's been around since you were born.
Also, they have specialty broths, which in some cases are not just broths! One of my favorites is the Lamb special pot which is actually a stew of lamb tailbone with meat. You get to eat the meat/stew first and then you can use the stew as broth for your hot pot. They use to make only 3 servings of this per day to keep things fresh and the waitress told me to call in first and reserve one before coming in. Not sure if they still do that though. There's also a spicy crab pot where again you get spicy crab to eat first, then you can use broth for hot pot. There's a few more, go check it out yourself :P
This little restaurant does offer both all-you-can-eat and regular menu, so take your pick.
