Chinese restaurant thats open 7 days a week from 5:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.
This is a medium size casual restaurant, clean and well-run. The servers are friendly and efficient. Food is very tasty. We ordered their dinner for two with a chicken hotpot and a duck dish the other day. It came with their soup of the day, steamed rice and dessert. The only thing I don't really like is that they put too much cornstarch in their sauces. But with their great selection and unbeatable value, this is something I can live with. Will definitely recommend.
My friend and I came here for a late dinner suggested by my doc. I knew this place existed, I always drove by on my way to Yaohan Centre. Never thought about eating there cuz it look intimidated. We were told their food was good and so was their price.
It was close to 9:00 pm, we chose the 4 items snacks and get a plain congee free. The food was good. Luckily, my friend knew how to read Chinese, for the most part. On the wall was their house specials. I don't know why it was not translated unto the menu or have the english translation on the board. My friend was drooling over the house special. I just knew that their crab and pumpkin hotpot was $20.80. I can't wait to come back here to try out their crab hotpot. But I would not come back unless I have someone with me to translate.
Service was good, we were not snubbed. The waitress was very helpful. I gave her credit for helping those 4 young chinese kids (early 20s) with their take out orders. They knew what to order, but they didn't speak nor read chinese. The waitress understood what they want as she was bilingual.
This restaurant definitely caters to the local chinese. All their advertisement are in chinese. Its Monday night and the place was half full, its a good sign. On our way out, my friend saw the advertisement that their steam ginger milk was .80 cents!! Ugh! Had I know, I would of order 2 bowls, my fav dessert. That will definitely entice me to come back.
Ambiance? Its clean and bright. It would of been better if they didn't have all that chinese advertisement all over their walls.
Highly recommended for a late night meal.
This is a restaurant for late night and for casual, great "wok air" if you know what i mean...this is a restaurant that has cheap but quaility food, i can compare this restaurant's food with "Wong Dao" located behind VanCity in the intersection of No.3rd and Westminister.. this restauarant is the bomb, nice and unique chinese dessert for cheap, funni movies all year long playing inside restuarant and the boss always know what i want when i go!!
