Simple, cozy little place with an unforgettably kind owner/chef trained in Sweden. Mediterranean dishes are a specialty. Everything, even the desserts, are homemade. To access, park at Alexandra & Kwantlen behind hotel.

I can't say enough good things about this tiny little eatery near Kwantlen college. It's about as basic as restaurants get from the outside, but the food is just SO good! I've never been to a place this size where the food tasted so good. It's mostly mediterranean, and it's all made from scratch.
While the decor is very simple, you'll find this reflected in the VERY reasonable prices. The owner keeps long hours -- 10am - 11pm every day. He takes advance orders for take-out as well as party orders, I think.
This little place gets its name with the La Quinta Inn next door. To get there you have to park behind the restaurant (at Kwantlen and Alexandria) and walk through a passageway. Great place to stop coming into richmond via highway 91.
The two times I've been there, the owner has been incredibly friendly, but not in-your-face. He was happy to make recommendations and add little extras to make you happy. Seeing as he makes everything by hand, there are often daily specials you should ask about. In our case it was the white chocolate and black current cheesecake.
