The yogurt here used to be better, when it wasnt self serve. Now, it tastes very sour and gritty for the original and I also tried the cheesecake-which was came out to be slightly yellow, and tasted synthetic. For one cup, I only squeezed 1/4 of the cup, and it came to be $5 incl. tax. I found that this was very expensive, since, you can get a meal for $6-7 at Aberdeen. I will not go back, it I crave froyo, I will go to Pinkberry's or if I crave gelato, I would go to Vivo Gelato.

Not that Qool

I heard a lot of excitement about the first location on Denman St.
I was at Aberdeen the other day and I finally got a chance to try out Qoola. For $5 in/c tax, I got a small frozen yogurt w/ 2 toppings (strawberry & mango). The yogurt was light and boring; can not compare to Blueberry World Frozen Yogurt. The strawberry was sour and the mango was nice and sweet. For $5, I think I'd rather buy BBT.
Will not go again.

I've always wanted to try Qoola but it's inconvenient for me to go down to the Denman location. I was happy when I found out they opened one up in Richmond. I bought a large one to share for $7 plus one topping for about $0.90 and on Canada Day, they were giving out one free topping with the purchase of a Med or Large yogurt. I chose the Lychee flavor yogurt with strawberries and blueberries. The lychee flavor yogurt was really tasty, but the fruits were still frozen. For almost $9, the price is pretty steep. They have 4 flavors of yogurt: original, green tea, lychee, and mango. The lychee and mango are for a limited time only. The one good thing is that you don't have to pay extra for flavored yogurt like the other yogurt shops and they can do a combination of 2 yogurts for one cup.

The staff were polite but slow and there were a few tables and and chairs for you to sit at.

I would be back just to try the mango one, but i'd probably stick to the other froyo places if I want to have original or green tea flavored yogurt.
