With several locations in the Lower Mainland, Nando's Chicken offers flame grilled chicken and side dishes such as coleslaw, spicy rice and spring mix salads.
I used to like Nando's but the last few times haven't been great. Perhaps the quality has changed or maybe I'm getting pickier. I mean, at $30 for two people, I am expecting at least a decent meal - not great, but decent.
We got the Variety plate to go. Idiot packing our food put all the chicken (1/2 chicken, 2 kebobs and 4 wings) in this flimsy paper box that didn't close properly. Chicken wasn't tasty and was just sitting in a messy pool of red "sauce". Absolutely disgusting and impossible to eat. Rice tasted a few days old. Only item that was sort of good was the fries. But again, at these prices, good fries does not make up for a crappy meal.
Hate to admit it but I enjoyed the chubby chicken at A&W more than Nando's, and that's not easy to say! Won't be going back. This is the Lower Mainland; we have a lot of choices. Save your hard earned money and skip Nando's.
Nando's has a reputation for good chicken but our experience was one of mediocrity......I could easily have poured some hot sauce over a piece if chicken at home and it would have tasted better. Sorry, but when you eat out, even at $25 for 2 people, you expect something a little bit better. This was almost in the Macdonalds/Wendys league, places you eat at as a last resort. Someone needs to try a little harder.
We eat at this location on a regular basis. Never had any complaints about quality. I hate that they changed their peri veggies. Who eats eggplant? Yuck!
We always expect the same kinda service and food. This time was different. We were greeted by a smiling girl who took pride in her job. She was super cheerful and didnt rush me when I couldnt decide on a drink.
She brought our food to us again with a smile and even checked to make sure we were doing okay. She kept busy cleaning tables and checking on other tables around us.
Kudos to this amazing girl!
Food was great. My ceasar salad was a bit dry, as it usually is, we always have to ask for more dressing. I left it alone this time. Fries were crispy and my chicken was good as it always is.
I should first say I love Nantes and eat there often. This was my first time at this location and I ordered take out. The order took an extra 10 minutes over the time they told me to pickup and the food was awful. The rice was not cooked at all; it was all hard bits with a slimy outside. The chicken was leathery and over cooked. I asked for my chicken legs skinless, which most Nantes will accommodate, but cant guarantee it will all be taken off - this one wasn’t even attempted to be skinned. When I called to complain the manager was non apologetic, she suggested I microwave the rice. That was her resolution.
I will never visit this location again!!!!!
Great flavour, like the peri peri sauce, but this place serves the most pathetic, scrawny little chickens you ever saw, more like sqwab! The sides are a bit expensive for what they are as well. So much potential, maybe get a better chicken supplier or raise the prices to offer meatier chicken.
