I've heard quite good reveiws and decide to give it a try with couple friends. Craving starts once opening the door. They seem to have around 3 private rooms and an area outside for around 20-ish people seating. We sat outside. The menu was quite extensive, sets ranged from around $20 to I think $200 per person. After good couple minutes of thinking on what to order, we decided to go for dinner for 4 @ $198, that is around $50 per person. I hope I remember all the items... here goes: started with sashimi (salmon, scallop, shrimp, and surf clam) - ok, garden salad - ok, lobster miso soup - NICE & HOT, buttered 1/2 lobster tail, seared black cod - so SMOOTH, seared foie gras on Toast - so INDULGING, beef rolls with roasted garlic and green onions - THE BEST, sirloin cubes, fried rice and re-using the saved oil from the foi gras, veggies - cabbage & bean sprouts, pan fried soft tofu, and lastly ice cream. Can you believe EVERYTHING was done perfectly!!! This the BEST teppanyaki I've had in ages. The ingridients by itself is well worth the price.
Definitely worth trying out.
Lots of parking & Kanpeki has thier own spots as well.
I'm usually really leery of these kind of restaurants as they are usually all show and no go.
But I was surprised with this place. Very fresh food and great value for your money.
They don't put on such an extravagant show as some other places, but if you seen one, you've seen them all.
However, this is a place to go if you actually want to be full. If you go as a pair, I recommend that you get one meat lovers meal and one seafood lovers meal to share.
Seafood consisted of salmon, huge scallops, oysters, squid, lobster tail and jumbo prawns.
For the meat, we chose filet mignon, rib eye and lamb chops.
You also get soup, salad, veggies, seafood fried rice and fried noodles, oh and gellato too!
We have been to this place a few times, the quality has been consistently outstanding.
The chefs are nice and professional and they cook the food right in front of your eyes. Their menu has a wide variety of ingredients to choose from at different price ranges.
We tried a few different set menus and they are all in very good portion. Their seafood are very fresh and they also have Angus beef and Japanese beef if you are up for it.
They have own reserved parking at night, so finding parking is pretty easy. Highly recommended!
