Rose Red Tea is so Good

There is a lot of bubble tea in Richmond area. K2 Cafe can do average quality.

Service is ok but not prefect. There is funny thing, waitress over there ask u "how many people?" but after that, please service yourself, you can sit whatever you like. Well, there is no waitress guide u to the table. Need improve.

Rose Red Tea is good. Cup and glasses are so special and fashion. Must try the "Paper Hot Pot". Taste not bad. Just like trying something new style food. Why not? $10 can taste new style hot pot. It is not expensive.

Terrible Food and Service! Bring back Ricco!

K2 is the new bbt place which replaced Ricco in its spot on No. 3 Rd. I thought Ricco was awesome and the husband and wife team of Ricco always treated its customers with excellent service and pretty decent food. So I thought I would give K2 a try to relive my fond memories.

That was a mistake... K2 was a very abysmal experience. Right from the beginning, you can tell K2 is going for a higher end bbt experience. Unfortunately, they fail in many aspects. First, the decor is completely white, except for one wall which has the REALLY, annoying swirling pattern. Luckily, I was seated in the back.

Service was poor, took forever to get served or acknowledged even when there is only 2 other seated tables and 4 waitresses on staff. But that's ok, they are new, so I ll let them go on that.

The menu offering had items that were clearly beyond the skills of the kitchen. The menu can be divided into 3 categories: 1) Western food 2) Japanese Paper hotpot 3) Taiwanese classics. The western food is not HK Cafe style, but more akin to fine dining menu items. (ie. Crab and Avacado salad with "something" vingerette) It seemed so out of place. I steered clear of that because I knew I would be walking into some bad "x" ....

Ordered one of the chicken steak rice and my gf ordered a japanese hotpot. (It hotpot with the contents in a wax paper container). My portion of chicken steak rice was very small and the rice had like MSG in it, as it was very salty. The lobster soup based hotpot tasted like watered down msg soup... Disgusting... Had an apple green tea, which had little square of apple in it.... Problem: the apples were all brown and the straw was the thin type, meaning you can't get at the apples.... tried to get a spoon... but they totally forgot about it...

So disappointed... If you go there, you go at your own risk... and if you like this place... you have no idea of good food is...

My friends told me about this place and i gave it a try
ordered 2 snacks and a bbt
my friend ordered the same two snacks and a bbt
our bbt came first.. so far so good cups kinda small and the bbt was a little under average and our first hint of bad service was that we asked for no ice. and yup you guessed it we all got ice.
my friends snacks came first. BUT WAIT! how do we eat these dishes? they havnt provided us with our utensils and we end up waiting 5 minutes for them so we can dig in.
my two other friends meals came and i was still waiting for the exact same snacks that my friend finish. i decide it is taking a bit to long so i give them a reminder.
yup they forgot. they quickly came out with my food. OH BUT YET AGAIN. they only gave me my second snack! where has my first snack went to?
yes they forgot.
and i tell them to cancel it because i am in a bit of a rush at this time.

since my friends said it was good i decided that day was luck.
i decide to go again with different people.
same service. but this time they did not forget my order.
they just forgot what the foods are called.
i ordered a brochette and got just garlic bread.
theres more but then i only know the names in Chinese so i cant really say them here.

the waiters are shaky the chefs don't know what they are doing the bubble tea is very very average. and for what price? 10-20$ and a big waste of time and stomach room for much more delectable food
just do yourself a favor and just dont go stick to the other BBT cafes like GOGO, estea, well tea, etc. All located in richmond not to far off from K2 the place where i got one of the worse experiences ever.
