Jang Mo Jib is a Korean restaurant offering spicy, authentic dishes, many soup based. This location is in Aberdeen Centre's food court.
Usually go there for their Beef bone/short rib soup and it's always delicious! Not to mention a great deal too!
The soup is definitely of a special kind, and special in the sense that it doesn't seem to contain any MSG(!). No matter how much of it I consume everytime I rarely feel thirsty afterwards. Taste-wise it's just right and not too salty. Even though it's a soup entree it does come with 2 side dishes (just like all Korean restaurants) that you can pick from and choices include bean sprouts, daikon, and of course, kimchi. They are all home-made and taste authentic. And that's not all! You also get a bowl of rice AND some clear noodles in the soup. So altogether for how much? $6.25 including tax. Now that's something most people will call a steal.
Haven't really try out their other offerings cos the above is of such good value. But I definitely plan to though... eventually.
This is a good option when you're craving korean food at the food court. I have tried several different items and enjoy the pancheon and mandu's the most. Prices are lower than sit down korean restaurants.
I haven't really been impressed by their combo meals though and I do miss the banchans.
