Izumi-Ya Japanese Marketplace is a Japanese grocery store that also sells prepared Japanese dishes.
I am a regular customer that gets groceries and prepared food there. I have brought my "green" shopping bag to shop and placed some of the purchase there while still shopping for groceries. Noticed that a male server/cashier was following me around so I ask if there's a product that I was looking for is available at the store. I was told in a not friendly manner that I should not use my shopping bag while in the store and it was their company policy that customers must use the shopping carts. I went to look around the store to see if there was any sign place around the shopping carts or anywhere in the store of such policy and there were none. I paid for my purchases and there was not even a "thank you" given by the store clerk. All the time while I shopped there and brought my "green" bag I was not approached in such a rude manner and my purchases was always greeted with a thank you after I've paid. The store management had better train their new staff some customer service manners and approach customers with tact instead of approaching them in such a "high handed manner". Even if your products are cheap, there is no excuse for rudeness and poor customer service. I never had any problems when I bring my "green" bags while shopping at all larger grocery stores.
