This place has delicious aand authentic Korean sushi fish. it is $15.50 for rice + 10 fishes with the choices you can have something different every day of the week. the fish is amazing, one of the best i've had especially if they still have half fatty. the bbq fish specials is perfectly glazed and flavoured (my fav). the fish has a great ratio of meat + fat + crunchy skin. you have go to try every combination! will differently come back for lunch take out. They are \korean so they treat you right.
I've been here numberous times to order their takeout party trays. Good value, decent quality and lots of variety. My only gripe comes from the wait time when I come in to pick up my order - let's say anywhere from 20 to 45 minutes, and this doesn't include the usual 2 hour heads up I give when I call in to place my order. I wouldn't come here if time is not on your side, nor would I eat in, mostly drab interior.
Bring a book to read. The likelihood of your waiting here is almost guaranteed.
I have been here quite a few times. Typically the food is quick and decent for a fast food japanese place. There are the odd times though when food takes forever and seems to never be ready. For take out order in advance for that reason, but if you are eating in be ready to wait as this happens once in a while. Overall good express Japanese for what you are paying for.
For a quick grab of Japanese flavour, there are no other choices.
Service:
One word, slow. If you're eating in, expect to wait anywhere from 5 to 50 minutes depending on the time of day. Yes, I said 50 minutes. That's how long I waited one weekday afternoon for a bento box, and it wasn't even lunch time! At the end, I told them to just cancel my order and I went somewhere else.
However, for take out, during weekdays night, if you call in 10 minutes ahead, the food should be ready when you arrive. (But only if the place is empty).
Never tried their delivery service, but I believe they will only deliver orders over $25.
Ambiance:
Ronald McDonalds goes to Japan. There's a TV that plays the same Japanese food show VHS over and over at the corner. The floor could sometimes use some cleaning. Don't be surprise to see tables cluttered with plates and trays during busy time.
Food:
Everything is made when you order, so it's fresh. The taste is not bad, but felt a bit AYCE, very typical.
So if you are just lazy to cook on a weekday night, call in for take out (they call it "Pick up"), by the time you get there, it should be ready, hopefully.
On a side note, they will not take debit if you buy less than $10.
Order fast, make fast, finish fast???
Fast food price and quality
I love their sushi platter, so many assorted sushi and rolls.
But sometime they are really slow. If you order ahead on phone, they will make it after 15 mins driving to there. If you order in store, they will make it 20+ mins. That's not acceptable!
I've ordered from Fukuroku Express numerous times for take out for their party trays. If you call in first, it's pretty fast. I find their pricing decent, and the sushi is decent too. Overall, if you are craving for sushi and don't feel like going to a restaurant, this is a good place.
I've always know of this place fo years, but had never walked in. I've finally made the trip a few months ago & has been back numerous times now. I even called for deliveries. Very very fresh sushi. I'd recommend it to families who doesn't want to empty their wallets for a decent meal.
