Duke's Palace is located on the second floor of Central Square in the heart of Richmond's downtown. They serve a wide selection of chef-prepared hot pot dishes as well as favorite traditional chinese dishes later at night in a comfortable setting with a beautiful view of the mountains and Richmond's Aberdeen Centre.
This was a standard late night eatery until they converted to a all you can eat hot pot restaurant. They still offer small dishes and even crab but their main selling point is the hot pot which goes for about $18 per person + soup ~ basically what you'd see anywhere else. The reason I like this place is because the servers are friendly and for an all you can eat hot pot place, it is very spacious and not stuffy. The reason I don't like this place is because - they give you a checklist for the all you can eat (good), it's written in chinese (not good). The servers (with a big smile on their face) will gladly help those who can't read it but I think they should work that out. Besides that, everything is written in english so no worries. Because it's not cluttered and because of the friendly atmosphere, I find it a comfortable place to eat.
