Menu specialties include Southern-style chicken and signature side items such as fried okra, mashed potatoes with gravy, cole slaw, Honey Butter Biscuits and Jalapeno Cheese Bombers.
I went to Church's Chicken on my way home last week.It was about an hour before closing, I asked for 10 pieces of white meat only. Was told it would be 15 minutes to cook fresh. No problem, read newspaper and relaxed. When I got home, 10 minutes away, I was treated to a soggy, flavourless dinner. I had one piece,my girlfriend had one piece and the rest sat in the fridge for three days until I threw it out.Usually fried chicken tastes better the next day. This was awful. This is the second time I've had poor quality food there. I am not a big fast food diner but there is that craving every so often for good fried food. This is not the place to satisfy that craving. Staff were friendly. Ambiance, what can you say ,it's takeout.
the food is very tasty, just what i've come to expect from this chain, but drink refills are 70 cents, a total shock after growing accustomed to free refills. the most horrific discovery, and the reason i will not return, is that they do not stock soap in their restrooms. they were not just out of soap- no dispensers were even installed. i found the poster on the wall reminding the reader to "stop the spread of germs" highly amusing.
that seems to be the norm. been here several times because its close by and a save-on-foods is near, so i simply grab a 10 piece home for our dinner. and many times now, they are always missing a piece, so i get 9 instead of 10. whenever i go there now, i always ask the miserable counter people (they always seem cranky about something) to make sure there are 10 pieces, and i also keep an eye on them too...
