Food: been there 2 separate times and was disappointed with a majority of the food both times. Wok fried squid is atrocious! It's oily, not crispy and smothered in a garlic/red pepper concotion that just makes the whole thing salty. As an asian person, I am embarassed that it has the word "wok" associated with it. Ahi tuna was terrible as the sauce was overbearing, the rice was just plain and it just tasted salty once again. Steak was overcooked. Margherita pizza was plain and smoked salmon pizza with capers was again just salty and since there was no sauce, everything was falling off the pizza! The only passable dish was the battered halibut - accompanying rice was ok but there was way too much tartar sauce doused on it so I actually had to eat around it. Salt is definitely the theme of this place. Drinks, however, were not bad for the price.

Service: spotty - water glasses not refilled, bills mixed up with other tables, unable to located a server when needed and some were friendly while others snobby.

Value: Food was absolutely overpriced for what was received. The only thing that was close to being worth it were the cocktails.

Ambiance: dark with sharp lighting at tables which was quite nice but it's quite small and its no wonder the bar is packed with people. Music was much too loud and with the number of people, it is difficult to carry on a conversation. Decor was nice and seating was very comfortable. Love the banquets.

Overall, will not return if possible as equivalent restaurants in ambiance, especially those on No. 3, have much better food for the same price. Would only have drinks here if forced to come again! Avoid food if possible!!

A few buddies of mine decided to stop by this place to unwind on a Friday evening after work. I'm not sure about the other not so pleasant comments, but we liked the place and our friendly waitresses.

The drinks were good and the food was a bit average, but hey, the friendliness of the staff and the ambience more than made up for it.

I just dont get why they don't sell pitchers and local brew. All there beers are there homemade beers which i guess is a good strategy for the franchise to make more money and i guess buying glasses is more expensive then buying pitchers but shouldn't there priority be keeping there customers happy and wanting to go back?? We had a good time when we were there, we had a funb time ordering there special shots and trying there awesome appys but it ended up being very expensive for what we got. The service was awesome but mit wshould be because it's such a small place. The owner was a cool guy, he even offered me a job. The food was good but was it worth it's price? Nope.

I've bee here a couple of times. My friend lives in Richmond so I'm always trying different places. It's in a strip mall and what Browns offers to us is a very "Earls & Cactuc Club" wannabe style but in a much smaller format.

I do like the decore but there isn't enough of an "environment" to get me and the guys going. Food wasn't that great. I had a Pad Thai that honestly tasted like I cooked it myself.. (I'm a crappy cook and can always rely on recipe off the internet to try to impress).. My friend had the Cowboy Salad which he said was good but we at the end of our meal felt like moving on as soon as our meals were done. The place had lots of staff that liked to socialize so that didn't help.

Perhaps if it was twice the size, had a better menu (at least get original now), then it may be a bumpin place.. but I can't see myself wanting to come back here again.

We ate at Brown's recently. It was a warm summer night, so we sat on the patio which was very nice. The inside of the restaurant looked very inviting as well. I had a cowgirl (or was it cowboy) salad to start, which was quite bland. There was a total of TWO quarter pieces of date in it. Not much else in it either...It was pizza special night, so we had the pizza. The margherita pizza was quite tasty, although the presentation left something to be desired. My husband had some kind of bbq chicken pizza which he saidwas also tasty. All in all, an okay experience, but far from stellar. One thing which really surprised me was the bathrooms, which were clean, but tiny and with clearly no attention to detail. Very utilitarian. I might go back, but am certainly in no rush to do so. The food did not leave me craving for more...

I had a tuna dish and while it sounded delicious it didn't quite live up to the description, the cowgirl salad that went with it however was rather tasty. My friends were mostly disappointed with their meals, once again it wasn't that it was terrible it was just not that great. The service was fine although there was five of us and the table was a bit cramped but the next size up was a table for ten so we opted to be squashed in.

I wouldn't say not to go there as the menu did sound nice however there just wasn't much character as it had the same feel as a lot of other similar restaurants in the area.

SO the place is new in Richmond so we thought we'd give it a go. Looking down the menu I thought I'd try a burger but given they had Monday Pizza special I had one of those and another one for hte mrs. I have to say the pzza way bad.....Panago make decent Pizzas for $10 and evn a Ceaser's $5 pizza was better that the crap we were served. How do they do it? Open a restaurant in a pretty good location and then serve terrible food. They even have multiple locations!

This place is no Cactus club or Earls. Crap food mean we won't go bad. Drinks looked OK but I like to eat and drink so I'll skip the place from now on.
