More sportsbar than restaurant
By Bonka of Vancouver (464 Reviews)

Came here with the girlfriend and a friend to catch the last period of the Canucks game. We seated for mostly drinks: Heineken, Keith's, Ice Tea, a Mudslide and washed it down with a plate of nachos. The Mudslide was really a milkshake disguised in a thick layer of froth and would be suitable for minors considering the absent taste of Kahlua. The nachos were what we've expected from the past - this location is far more generous with toppings, however.

Service was slow considering most of our orders needed only the working of the taps. Even though it was HNIC this location felt more akin to a sportsbar than an eatery so it can get loud during games.

All of us got a huge gust of pungent garlic spread from our entrance to our booth; a neighouring table having ordered what looked like the Appie Platter. It was a reminder to stick with a narrow window of menu items here.

Good hangout

I frequent this place pretty often with my buddies for late night munchies. Its a good place to relax at a sports bar type place and have a bite. The service I've had has always been pretty good, they remember our orders and split our bills. The food, however, depends greatly on what you order. The pasta is sub-par, its usually cooked past al-dente. The pizzas and sandwiches are ok, nothing special. One time, my friend was served burnt fries but upon request, they promptly gave him a fresh batch. Anyway, still a good place to have an enjoyable time with friends and watch a game.

Typical Boston Sodium Pizza Experience

Nothing specifically against this location but I am amazed to see how people continue to be glued to this place despite several Mcdonalds around. The sauces are pre-packaged and the pastas are too salty with imitation sauces. The food never tastes fresh and is overpriced for kiliing my arteries. Please avoid BP by all means especially when it comes to your well being. Before banning any other fast food chains, someone has to look at BP

Bug in the vinagar rude manager who laughed at us after complaining, and over priced food would never go back there again.. The servers are very nice but for how many they have in there service is slow. Pasta was almost 20 dollars the quaility of food is not worth the prices.

Only one word I have for Boston Pizza - disgusting! Will never, ever go back to any BP location. Food is terrible and way overpriced for the garbage they throw on the plate. You can tell the cooks (they are not Chefs for sure) simply just throw the food together, I don't think they even know how to operate a deep-fryer as the fries where tastless and soft is well. For the same money you can have a much better (and healthier) meal and many other restaurants in Richmond.
I have absolutly nothing positive to say about the garbage food they cook and serve and I guess McDonalds even taste better then BP.
Don't go, don't go stay home and make yourself a nice meal from the money saved.

Went to the Ironwood location again cause I was meeting up with some friends who wanted to catch the Jays game on tv and have a few beers. I walked in, and was greeted with a cute smile from a host, and told her I was meeting some friends to watch the Jays game. She said she new were they were, and quickly escorted me in to see them. When I got there, the Jays game was only on 1 tv, so it was kind of hard to see, but I asked my server if she could help with that, and I believe she got the manager to quickly change the channels........ what service! I ordered my beer, so cold and refreshing too! Ordered the individual sized boston royal, never new they had multigrain dough until then, so I tried it. It was pretty good, hard to imagine it was multigrain. After another beer, I asked for just my bill as I had to get back home to my wife, as I don't get out to meet up with the boys to often anymore....lol, bill was brought right away, and as I walked up to the front counter to pay using my debit card, I bumped into the General Manager, he asked me how my dinning experience and even helped with my payment at the computer terminal. Said thank you to me and asked if I visit often. I said once or twice a month, but honestly, after todays experience, I'd be back more, rather go there than to cactus club or earls, better tvs, service was awsome and even head management is involved talking to customers.....

thank you Ironwood staff!!!

Why are they so busy?
By annburgoyne of Vancouver (7 Reviews)
Submitted Wednesday, July 8, 2009 - 3:49pm [Dine in]

Went to Boston Pizza in Ironwood last night. They were very busy, so we waited for about 10 minutes, which was OK. I find BP overpriced anyway, and our bill for 2 appies, a medium pizza, 1 drink, tip was over $50. Did not get our drinks and had to ask for them. Waiter gave us a coupon for free little pizza & drink for next time, though. Our empty plates were not taken away. Other staff brought our food, then our waiter came by twice right after food got dropped off to ask how it was ... well, I dunno, it just got plunked down and I have not eaten any yet, so how do I know?

Cheap Food for Kids
By foodkage of steveston, bc (5 Reviews)
Submitted Friday, January 2, 2009 - 11:57pm [Dine in]

Four adults took our four kids to Boston Pizza for lunch. The boys loved the hockey theme throughout the restaurant with the photos and tv's playing hockey. The kid's meals are incredibly cheap - I think $4.95 including drink and dessert. They all had the kid's pizza - it tasted like a frozen pizza - kind of stale and tasteless. They didn't mind. I ordered the individual sized pizza but it never came until everyone else was served and finished eating. The waitress looked distressed over it but never explained why it never came. She apologized when she finally served it but it may has well come in a box to go. The pizza tasted pretty good but I will never go back there. I had a diet coke to drink - it was flat with no ice. Getting the bill was slow.

Never Again!!!!
By Rotty of ironwood (1 Review)
Submitted Thursday, February 28, 2013 - 8:41pm [Take-out]

OK, so a few years ago, i tried to place an order at the Ironwood location, and was on hold for about 20 minutes. During that time i emailed the CEO of B/P and got a voucher for a free dinner and a letter thanking me, which i never used.

So I figured that given a few years to get their you know what in order, I tried again and was promptly put on hold. BUT, 2 minutes later I place an order for 2 pulled pork pani pastas to be delivered.

40 minutes later, which is not bad, I got the order, 2 pizza lasagna, NO PULLED PORK PENNI. I could have called, but then to be put on hold again and have to wait another 40 minutes, I just don't have the patience!

Apparently, my neighbours also have given up on this location. It's too bad, since the food isn't all that bad, given the high prices. But one must wonder, who is organizing this bunch of employees that they would make stupid mistakes and cause the Company to loose customers????

WORST food in town. Just HORRIBLE. AVOID.

Went to Boston Pizza on Saturday night because the Old Spaghetti Factory was full. The place looks good, and the service was decent. However, the so called food they serve there is just overpriced garbage. I had what they call “bbq smoked chicken pizza”. It turns out that’s just bread with ketchup and slight traces of cheese. I have to say that was the absolute worst pizza I ever had, and in fact it had nothing in common with a real pizza except maybe the round shape. You can get something way better (and cheaper) at Domino’s. In fact you can probably get one of those frozen boxed pizzas they have at Safeway, and it would still be better that what they gave me at Boston Pizza. My wife had some pasta with sausage, which tasted like a dead rat must probably taste like. Anyway, it was the worst dining experience of the past 5 years, and will never set foot in a Boston Pizza ever again. DO NOT GO THERE!!!

doesn't get any worse!

We vowed never to step foot on a BP franchise again. It's been over 3 years since we've been to a BP so i thought maybe we could try it again and maybe it has changed. WRONG! Again, the hostess was nowhere to be found.. when we were finally seated, the server only came to bring our food and left.. we didn't get our waters refilled and the food took forever. The french onion soup is the worst i've tasted ever. The onion weren't chopped properly. The pasta dish i ordered was even worse! I make better foo than that! the server always ignored us and it was definitely a bad experience. I can't believe that after all these years, things just never change. They need a better management and fire all the staff.
