Awesome Place for Gelato

This place is brand new. I took a chance and ordered their gelato, which they make themselves. I was impressed and bought a litre of it home with me. I'll be back to try something from their lunch menu. Scanning through the menu, I thought the prices were reasonable, from 3.00 to 10.00. The items on the menu looked interesting, mixing different asian cuisines together.

Horrible Service!

I've been here three times now and each time I've had horrible service. The food takes forever, and even then it comes out incorrectly. Sometimes the food doesn't come out at all! Owner/manager never takes any responsibility. It's too bad because the food isn't bad and the restaurant is nice and clean. But because of the poor, slow service, I will not return.

A Hidden Gem in Steveston, Richmond..!

I've been to Blackberry Bistro three times, and have been impressed with their chic decor, yummy dishes and extremely reasonable prices. So far we've tried the Hainanese Chicken rice, assorted satays, chicken satay wrap, pork floss and pineapple wrape, Bakudeh, laksa, salads and gelato. Have been pleased with all these dishes and will definitely go there again often. The Malaysian dishes are authentic and well-prepared, but my absolute favourite is the wraps!!! The "skin" of their wrap is not the hard chewy type served in most western restaurants. To me, it has a texture like French crepes. Together with the fresh ingredients and appropriate amount of sauce, this dish is a definite steal at $6! I'm glad to have found this good spot for lunch or dinner in Richmond.

terrible service

terrible service! only three out of 4 dishes ever arrived.

1. the food that was served was served cold and overcooked (salmon dish) there were small sampler items served as the chef specialty which were also cold and flavourless with a poor tesxture to the meat.

2. service was very slow and mistakes were put onto the client rather than the servers. entrees came out 20 minutes apart so one person was finished eating dinner by the time the next person got their food. with one person never recieving their order. the manager took no blame or offered any type of solution for the poor service.

3. the food was well priced but it was not very tasty, not well-cooked (over cooked) and arrived at the wrong time at the wrong temperature (cold)

4. the place looks very nice inside. the tables and water glasses are very small and you are squished if there are 4 people at the table.
