Can't taste the cheese for the salsa mushy, gooey mess on this cheeseburger

Because two locals recommended the Lighthouse, today I visited it and ordered their cheeseburger, with fries, today for lunch. The cheeseburger had so much salsa on it that I couldn't taste the cheese. The salsa was a dripping, gooey fluid. The burger was mushy with too much spice. To me, it was disgusting. To make matters worse, the waitress interrupted me when my mouth was full of food to ask how it was! I had to chew and swallow, while she waited, staring at me as though I was rude for not answering her immediately. I gave her a big, fat zero for a tip. She deserved less for interrupting me that way and virtually forcing me to answer her. Very, very rude! Later today, I came across two other locals and told them of my experience at the Lighthouse Pub. They agreed that the food there was horrible and that it was unduly expensive, all things considered. The night before the Lighthouse lunch, I ate a hamburger at a well-known fast food restaurant chain in Sechelt and it was really much healthier and better tasting and 1/3-1/4 the price of the Lighthouse one.

I've gone to this restaurant quite a few times, I recently went and that was the last time I will ever go. I ordered the number 7, which is strictly noodles and broth, no meat. She brings it to me with meat and I said I ordered the number 7 not this and she just said "it's the same thing". I then said " I don't eat meat this isn't what I ordered" she then LAUGHS in my face and brings it back. All she did was pick out the meat and bring me it back, there was still pieces of meat floating in it. I had to avoid eating meat out of a meal that shouldn't have come with meat in the first place. She continued to pester me and my friends about our eating habits and laughed at us. I was feeling very offended and I didn't even want to eat the soup. My friend ordered the "salad wrap" and it came with peanut sauce on the side. the owner same to check on us to see how we were doing and she saw he wasn't using the peanut sauce. Without asking she dumped the entire thing on his food! He didn't want the sauce and he could have been allergic, but she just poured it on. Horrible service, food wasn't even good, dirty environment, using 10 year old soy sauce bottles!! 10/10 would not recommend.

I was so happy with this new Smokehouse my friend turned me onto, that I went back again two days later, & brought my family. I was dying for the Rib Tips & Slaw I had as a Lunch Special ($7.95) again, but alas, the specials aren't set, it all depends on when the boss starts cooking, so I discovered that ribs & wings are not available for lunch. Very disappointing! I tried the Chilli instead & it was good! My Wife had the Pulled Pork sandwich & was very happy with it. The daughter had a grilled Veggy sandwich which she found not very tasty, but seriously, kudos to the management to have it on the menu in the 1st place! Realistically, what the hell are you doing ordering a Veggy sandwich in a Smokehouse!?
Back to the Rib Tip special from my 1st visit, I ordered it with a side of slaw, which was delivered in a soup dish! Huge! The Ribs were Tasty, mildly overdone but not dry, and so abundant that I actually had to give my hollow legged friend (who had the Pulled Pork sandwich & loved it) 1 & 1/2 strips; very unlike me!

I'm definitely going back, for lunch, and we'll try dinner also.

If you go remember this:
A) Their signage needs to be better, as the one above the door is actually for the dance studio in the building. The restaurant has a large BBQ flag out front, but I found it to be wrapped around it's pole mostly.
B) Not everything on the menu is available all day (they need to have separate Lunch & Dinner menus)
C) The place closes between 3 & 4:30 daily.
D) They offer both Take Out and Delivery!

So, all in all, a great new restaurant in Sechelt! Welcome Lucky!
