We have eaten here 6 times 4 lunch 2 dinners, and have walked out amazed.
Everything is made from scratch, including all the breads, and buns.
It's quite difficult trying new places as it is so good.
RUN to try this place out.It is the best place to eat on the coast for the price.
Had to come here when we were in Gibsons. It was cleaner and spruced up since the last I was here many years ago. There are Beachcomber photos on the wall and one tv playing the Beachcombers in one corner, but I'd like to have seem more memorabilia.
The food was slight over priced as a tourist trap at 10-20 % above actual value. Now to the food. I wasn't expecting much but was surprised.
Cod and chip was delcared delicious, grilled cheese - yummy. Crab and shrimp sandwich was pretty good if not a little bland and there was two large thick slices of tomato stuck together inside. The burger was said to be good but the cheese was weird. The coke was flat as well. The fries were really good - the battered kind and cooked perfectly.
Not somewhere I'd go often, but if you're in town and want a Beachcombers experience it's definately worth it.
Heard it was pricey as well, but have been there many times. It is my favorite Gibson's restaurant. The prices are more then fair (really no change from previous owner). You can get a breakfast starting at $3.25, and the best eggs bennie for $8.75 (and real holly). For 10.50 you can a fully loaded burger, 10oz, they say and fries. Try the ribs, they speak for themselves. And the best is all you can eat halibut and fries on Weds for$12.95. Specials are not budget breakers. You'll love it. The staff is also friendly and pretty amazing. Also, got a screaming baby the staff will hold it while you eat!
