THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! Few days ago, I phoned the restaurant to pick up a dim sum order for lunch and I was not sure about the ingredients because it was not specified in the menu at all! (I tried to check the menu before order but this was the only menu that I could find online) So I asked if the menu that I was going to order contains chicken or not through the phone quickly. And when I picked up my order at the restaurant, right after I paid, the lady working there (must be the owner of the restaurant or so) scolded me that I was not sure about the menu when I ordered! and said "Next time you should be sure about what you want to order, it is so busy during the lunch time so you cannot ask like that through the phone" and walked away to the kitchen.. what??? I cannot ask what's inside when I order? I knew exactly what I wanted to order just was not sure what's inside and doubled checked through the phone. I understand that it is so busy during lunch time but it only took 40 sec to order and ask.. she didn't even say thank you or it will take few minute.. just hanged up on me right after I ordered. (I was even confused if the phone was cut) when I just wanted to make sure what I eat she treated me like a homeless begging food from them in front of the people having lunch there. Very unpleasant experience. to be honest, the food is just westernized fried dishes and the dim sum I picked up was not even very good. I will never visit again and would not recommend to anyone..
Have had take out from Bangkok Fusion several times now. Their Thai food is very good.If you order it spicy, that is what you get. The Thai dishes are on par with some of the better Thai restaurants that I have eaten in in North America. The prices are good value for the money with generous portion sizes.
If you like Toonie Tuesdays where they pass of chicken backs and other leftover useless parts then this is the place for you. I have complained before, and I guess they have not learned their lesson. Avoid this location with a passion. Toonie Tuesday's are my staple for Tuesday, but not this location on North Albert

My partner and I were seated right away in a booth by a young girl who was pleasant. I clean off my seat in front of her because my side of the booth was covered in crumbs and bits of food. She doesn't say anything about it, asks if we want coffee and that the server will be right with us. The server arrives and has an over the top friendly voice (think Karen from Will and Grace) then asks what we'd like to order. My partner and I get the same thing every time we go to a Smitty's chain, I get the spinach and swiss omelet NO mushrooms with pan fried potatoes not the hash browns. He gets a skillet, and we always get a side of hollandaise sauce. She didn't know what I was talking about with the pan fried, so she said she would have to check with the cook if he had baked potatoes (at this point I wasn't 100% sure why she would ask that) and both my partner and I explain to her what it is. She never comes back to the table to confirm, just brings the food and immediately leaves. I spot the first problem, my omelet has more mushrooms than egg basically. The cook not only fills it with mushroom but then scatters mushrooms on top. My pan fried potatoes are literally just a baked potato cut into cubes. I apologize to my partner (I hate sending back food) but had to say something. So I call her over and let her know, her reply "ugh, I told him no mushrooms" and takes it away. Then we come to problem two, the hollandaise sauce on the side. It was white and tasted basically like heated up milk. She comes over and he let her know that this isn't the right color or taste and she cuts him off (My partner works in the food industry and we eat/make this all of the time - we know the ingredients/texture/color) she then lets him know that he's wrong and says that yes, it is hollandaise sauce and that this is the color it is everytime and that they get it out of a package (ew?) so he asks her to remove it from the bill and that he doesn't want it. She takes it away. I get my omelet back mushroom free and she let me know that she watched him make it. Now my meal comes with hollandaise sauce (I know, back to this) I try to eat it and cannot get through two bites. It is literally chunky to the point of being like cottage cheese. My spinach omelet only has two pieces of spinach. It just wasn't a good meal. For my partner's four pieces of toast he was only given 1 strawberry jam (haven't seen this in a smitty's) and instead of individual creamers for tea/coffee they had a little container with room temperature milk/cream that had been there for god only knows how long and you could open the top so anyone could have done anything to it.
Basically it was an awful experience, we will never be going back and the cook should not be allowed to run any kitchen.
Never once have I ever been treated so poorly in a restaurant. When we first walked in, the restaurant was a mess. The counters where the fountain drinks and napkins etc was a disgusting mess, most tables were dirty, both garbage disposals were overfilled and spilling out onto the floor and the one window had been splattered with some kind of white liquid (errrrrrrrrrrr). We waited in line for probably about 15-20 minutes when there was only 3 people ahead of us. This was due to the fact that they only had one till open and the person working it was new and didn't have a clue about how to do anything. When we finally reached the front of the line, the manager was helping him ring in our order. The manager was just assuming what type of chicken we wanted without asking and made several mistakes throughout the order that we weren't aware of until we saw what had come out (we never received a receipt). While we were waiting for our incorrect order, we watched several staff members come out and stare at me, point and laugh. (I have dreadlocks and I wear a vest with a bunch of patches on it apparently I look stupid or something). After witnessing all that crap, we receive our food to find out my mother's salad didn't get the cashew's or proper dressing for it, i received fries without asking for them and none of us received our cups for our drinks. My mother told one of the employees about her salad mix up and then she brought another incorrect dressing and didn't know what cashews were. I had finally had enough and asked the manager to just refund the entire order. The manager started becoming very short with me. While I was waiting for him to count out the money he owed us, I said 'to my brother I would just take us to Burger King. The manager stopped and raised his voice at me and said "Oh well you think Burger King is better than our food?" I said yeah it sure is and then he got all passive aggressive and condescending with me. I voiced my complaint about his employee's laughing and staring at me and he started yelling at me and questioning the validity of my complaint. Uhhhhhh... Is his job not to manage? Because in customer service, the customer is always right. I work in customer service too and have had to deal with lots of unreasonable assholes but I don't think in any way I was being difficult. After yelling at me, he handed me my change which was 8 dollars short of what I had paid. I said it and then he started slamming things around and then handed me another 5 dollars and told me to leave. So basically I had to pay 3 dollars to put up with that shit.
Needless to say, I now go to Burger King if I need something cheap and fast. At least there I can have it my way.
Atlantis coffee is pretty good and the service is great, unfortunately the owners are nasty gremlins who exploit their employees and laugh all the way to the bank. I know several people who have worked there that have had horrifying and shocking experiences. I say - let's support local businesses but not places that literally give no thought to the hard-work and loyalty their employees put into making it run. Frankly - one can find just as good of coffee elsewhere and buy it from people who aren't ungrateful jerks.
I went to pita pit today and wanted a greek salad. They asked me what I wanted on it and I told them I wanted what was listed on the menu and they told me to pick my own. I wanted a greek salad not a build your own, and then wasn't given my food when they were done, I had to ask for it.
I quite dislike as well that it asks you for a tip on the debit machine before you've even been serviced.
The salads are dangerously warm and would not eat them do to the risk. The french fries were soggy and the gravy was like water. Worst KFC I have had in my life. This is coming from a person who thinks hospital and airplane food is good. This is not the first bad experience I have had with the place and since the staff can't speak english they cannot give me the name of the owner to speak with concerning the problems.
I work for a worldwide distributor and visit customers all over Regina. I eat out almost every day, when I am in the Eastern area of the city I usually get a donair once or twice a week. Today(Nov. 26) I got a beef donair around 230 and took it to my car. It was so dry and chewy that I could not eat it and just threw it away. For $9.86 I expect better quality than this. Out of the 60 plus times I have eaten here, this is the second time it has been this bad. If I had not drove to the NW section of the city I would have returned it. Service was good, but food was quite bad.
We recently booked the private room for a party of 20+ to celebrate my mother-in-laws' 89th birthday. We called in advance so this gave the restaurant plenty of time to prepare for our event. Or so we thought...
When I arrived there were already a few guests seated, none of them had any drinks. I had asked if anyone had been there to offer them some and they said - no. So I sought out our waitress and asked her to see if they wanted something.
Once our guests arrived you could tell before orders were even taken that she was not going to be able to handle our drinks and coffee's alone. I believe that our waitress was doing the best she could, I think she was new, and I think its awful that management would expect someone new to look after a 20+ person dinner party all alone in the first place. Several of the guests wanted drinks and wine, and they never were asked or looked after for this. All of a sudden a round of garlic toasts came out - and no one even had soup or salads yet?
As for the meals, I think that for $24.99 per plate average they should have been comparable to Golf's or the Keg. NO WHERE NEAR CLOSE. First our soups were lukewarm at best. Two of the guests soup was missed all together. Again I had to find the waitress to let her know this. Some of the salads were not eaten as the lettuce was terribly wilted.
The main course. Everyone's was cold. Our baked potatoes were so cold that the butter didnt even melt. The waitress also didnt have someone to assist her with the baked potato tray, so I got up and helped to ensure the guests were able to dress their potato before it was too cold. Oh wait --- too bad it already was. Several of the guests did not eat their entire meals...
The service was average and I dont attribute that to the lady looking after us, I attribute that to the poor management that didnt provide adequate help to serve the party.
The food was below average. One of the guests who had ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu, said to another guest that he needed a doggie bag so that when he left he could give his meal to the first dog he saw! I mean really... this is coming from someone who is 70 years old??
The next day I called the owner to let them know of this experience. Long story short, he apologized and said he would provide some gift certificates for me to give to the guests which I thought - well maybe people would give them a second try? Maybe it was just an off night?
Then the very next day I got a voicemail from the owner. I called back and he informed me that he spoke with his business partner and that they changed their minds. They didnt want to provide me with gift certificates for the guests who had voiced issues with their meals/service. He asked that instead I give him the name and phone numbers of all our guests so he could call them directly. At first I thought ok... but then I thought... I am not comfortable giving them the names and numbers of our senior guests - they didnt feel comfortable speaking up that night so as to not ruin the party, and I am sure that they wont be comfortable being confronted by the owners.
Instead I emailed the owner the names of the guests so he could put them ON the gift certificates should he still provide them, so that he knew that I was not attempting to use them all. NO reply. So once again a let down.
Several of our guests have already said they definitely wont be going back to the Chimney in the future. I know I DEFINITELY WONT BE GOING BACK. If you want to have a nice dining experience with your private group - save your money and GO ELSEWHERE. This place will be a huge disappointment.
I love Burger baron but I got to the east location tonight after a 13 hour day only to get rude treatment and a don't wanna be there tone of voice from the drive threw and then after she gets me to repeat 4 times at the window she says we don't have taco salad I was so choked I said I'm good I don't need anything from you and then had to wait 15 minutes to get out of the drive threw and then got Wendy's instead Tom I'm gonna call the manager and tell them and get that girl canned It took me an hour to get this account working and I can never get that time back. The other negative review is spot on horrible service Burger baron east
My family loved this restaurant and we went there everyday for the 5 days we were in Montreal. Everything is priced so reasonably and tasted out of this world. We also ate at the restaurant twice for dinner. First time was better than the second but none the less excellent value. Service was good and the only negative was when the waiter tried to accuse me of leaving less than 10 percent tip. I had left over 15 percent but his math skills or maybe he was used to getting stiffed brought this on. Thankfully he realized his mistake. Give it a shot.
China Doll is a great restaurant. It has a fabulous location with great views whether you're dining inside or alfresco. I was sad their famous crab wasn't available on the night, but the duck pancakes were wonderful - it's a very delicate flavour and quite fun to create yourself. The waitor was very personable and recommended dishes that were really tasty and wine that complemented them, PLUS he threw in two free desserts... I left very impressed.
me and my wife went there and it was great experience. I like their service , i must say good welcome. food was so good perfect . we ordered large chicken carbonara and large beef swiss melt with broccoli cheese soup. it was awesome and i will go there again.love you quiznos
The people here are liars and thieves! My family has trusted them in the past to cook ingredients we would bring in. For New Years my parents decided to splurge and buy three large lobsters and have them cook it for us. When we picked it up, they gave us two trays that we trusted had all three lobsters. Upon taking it home and going through all the pieces, there was not a single piece of lobster tail!!! Not only had they already charged us a ridiculous amount to cook the lobster, but they basically stole half of it!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I SET FOOT IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT RUN BY THIEVES!!!
I went there to take out, they took about an hour. Chapati's they gave me were so bad that me and my friends were unable to eat because it was smelling really bad and we end up throwing away everything. Then I called them back to complaint but they were not listening at all and told me that it was all right.
I have never in my life been in such a dirty retaurant. The service or lack there of is more like it and no one cared about what i wanted or if my order was prepared properly. I would not let my dogs eat here! And it would be nice if someone spoke english since this is Cananda!!!
There is a warm ambience right when you walk into Cafe Orange. Our waitress greeted us with a big smile and she had a lovely presence. We were seated quickly and drinks were brought to us. We started off with a bowl of Miso soup (it comes with every meal, on the house). I'm a huge soup fan, and the miso soup wasn't anything to rave about but it was a good starter. I forget the name of the dish my mother ordered but it had vegetables, white rice, delicious melt in your mouth meat and an AMAZING sauce. It's like Edo Japan stepped their game up 20x. I ordered a crispy roll (tempura shrimp, cucumber and crab? I think?) and it was drizzled with some sort of spicy chili sauce. This was one of the most outstanding rolls I've ever eaten. It was just the right amount and my mother's dish left you perfectly full. The ambiance in this cafe was very zen and it had very eccentric music playing. The interior decorating inside this establishment was inspiring. I would definately eat here again, no questions asked!
I went for the "well" advertised lunch buffet for $9.99. While I was getting my lunch, the waiter put down a cup of spiced tea. The food was luke warm but okay. Before I left, a couple of ladies had finished and were paying for there meal and commented on how expensive it was for two people. So when I left, I was charged $9.59 plus $2.00 and then tax. I questioned him and he said it was tax and extra for the tea, which I did not ask for and the price was now $12.09. I argued with him about the change and pointed out the $9.99 buffet and he told me it was old pamphlets and his signs were not changed because he hadn't had time. That is not my fault, I told him and it was misleading the public with his advertising. Very poor manners and rude to the point of him basically telling me to leave and not come back because I complained. So there you have it in a nuit shell. BEWARE!!!
