Boathouse Restaurant, The6695 Nelson Avenue, West Vancouver
not worth the money
Submitted Sunday, December 30, 2012 - 6:34pm [Dine in]

Just got back from dinner. The food is decent, although calamari was way overdone (actually tasted like it was reheated). Personally I believe that a restaurant of this class should not let this calamari out of the kitchen and if it wasn't for the waitress who noticed something is wrong and brought back a new dish of this review would be much worst. And that is the only thing I find above average in this place....service. The service was excellent. If you looking for great food ...look somewhere else.

Stepho's Greek Taverna1124 Davie St, Vancouver
worst Greek food ever
Submitted Saturday, July 21, 2012 - 7:06pm [Take-out]

This is the worst Greek food I ever had. Had calamari, saganaki and greek salad and all except for half of the saganaki ended up in trash. The food in this place is an insult to Greek cuisine. Greek food should be flavorful but Stepho's calamari is rubbery, Greek salad is simply sour and saganaki tastes like cheep mozzarella melted in canola oil....zero flavor. Did not try other dishes and are not planning to. I will definitely not go back and would not recommend it to anyone. I really don't understand were the good reviews are coming from.

Bistrot Bistro1961 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver
a nice change
Submitted Thursday, October 11, 2007 - 11:53pm [Dine in]

Just came back from diner at Bistrot Bistro and could not wait to say how much I loved it. This place offers a nice change from the monotonious "Vancouver diet" at an affordable price. Food is excellent (although can not compare to other French restaurants in the city because they are to pricey for my wallet). Atmosphere is cozy and relaxed (although the vibrating floor(?) added a strange twist to it); service one of the best I have had - naturally friendly, none of the fake annoying friendliness, nice choice of music.....it felt almost like having dinner at a friend's place.
