A beautiful little spot for a restaurant, right on the water. The patio was inviting, live music playing softly, and a great buzz from the patrons. Inside was also very nicely decorated, clean, well kept, and well excecuted.
Our service was poor right off the get go, the hostess seemed lost with what to do with our request for a table for two. It took 2-3 minutes for her to start us towards a table. Fine if we were dealing with a line up, but there was only 1 other party of 2 waiting, and lots of tables available. Unforutnately our service didn't improve a lot from there, we felt ignored at times, though there were nearly as many people working as their was eating at the time we were there.
With all that out of the way, the food! While prices were a little higher than average pub fare (and the comparison to a pub should stop there) the food was excellent. Everything we had off the menu was done to perfection, and had excellent flavour. Even something as simple as a club sandwich was not only solid, but IMPRESSIVE in how flavourful it was.
If they can step up the service, and keep the flavour flowing, this could become a favorite for sure.
