I enjoyed my meal but wasn't surprised or left wanting more. Nothing was particularly good or bad. I ordered the pork and felt it was just okay. Pricing is on the high side for unpolished, so-so food. Very busy but very small. I felt the service was very good.

When it comes to Italian, I have to say this is my favourite restaurant in Vancouver. There is a warm, luxe feel to the space with satin draping from the ceiling. First, the beef carpaccio, thinly sliced and then spread on triangles of cheese toast melts in your mouth (most easily addictive thing I've tasted for months). From there, the sea bass arrives, flawlessly prepared, buttery but light. To finish, an appealing spin on their cheesecake, wrapped in phillo; it's velvety and perfectly crisp at the same time. The portions were surprisingly generous for a posh place like this one. The waitress was lovely and very knowledgeable about their wines. Overall, a sumptuous dining experience.
