Wow what a pl

I was visiting family on a Sunday in Maple Ridge and went to Electra Pizza at the recommendation of friends who live in the area. Joined by a friend from Coquitlam, I feel I can speak on his behalf, and say we were both delightfully surprised at the modern decor that was extremely comfortable - it felt like a little piece of Tribeca (or for those less travelled - a little piece of Yaletown) right there in Maple Ridge- minus the attitude. Our server greeted us right away and made such excellent recommendations, I felt obliged to try almost everything she suggested. I had the Chicken Quesadilla while my friend had the Chicken Wings (we were quiet adventurous) and we shared the Electra Special Pizza, but I will definitely be back to try the ribs someone ordered at the next table. Our food was great and our server checked with us at appropriate times throughout our experience. Our server was attentive but not annoying, the setting was perfect and the price was affordable. Perfect place for those visiting or living in Maple Rigde who think that Cactus Club, Joeys and Earls were "so five years ago" and detest the commute/parking/and pricing in the rest of the GVRD. Electra Pizza is a place I would feel comfortable entertaining my clients, watching the game, having drinks with the girls, or possibly on a date?! Go try it for yourself!

Yaletown Experience Without the Attitude
Submitted Monday, February 5, 2007 - 12:16am [Dine in]

Superbowl Sunday I went to Fiction Five at the recommendation of friends who live in the area, after watching the game. Joined by a friend from Coquitlam, I feel I can speak on his behalf, and say we were both delightfully surprised at the modern decor that was extremely comfortable - it felt like a little piece of Tribeca (or for those less travelled - a little piece of Yaletown) right here in North Vancouver, minus the attitude. Our server greeted us right away and made such excellent martini recommendations, I felt obliged to try another, which was mixed to perfection. I had the Chorizo Quesadilla while my friend had a Chicken Quesadilla (we were quiet adventurous) but I will definitely be back to try the Brie appetizer someone ordered at the next table. Our food was great and our server checked with us at appropriate times throughout our experience. Our server was attentive but not annoying, the setting was perfect and the price was affordable. Perfect place for those close to the North Shore who think that Cactus Club and Earls were "so five years ago" and detest the commute/parking/and price in Yaletown and Kits. Fiction Five is a place I would feel comfortable entertaining my uber-trendy clients, having drinks with the girls, or possibly on a date?! Go try it for yourself!
