Good all around

Nice little suburban Japanese Restaurant. Food is good, not great. They offer friendly service in a clean pleasant Japanese setting. They also have several Tatami rooms for privacy. and of course a sushi Bar I reccomend it

Nice little old fashioned Cafe with good coffee, Bacon and Eggs, omelettes or whatever you desire for Breakfast at a reasonable price. I think they are open for lunch as well! The place is run by the owner and the quality shows!

Can't say much that other posters haven't already said. Good friendly service , Great food ,Excellent view and ambiance. The only complaint as others have mentioned is that the good outdoor seats go to the smokers! If you want to sit outside you will be eating smoke! All in all a great Pub!

Good pub atmosphere

Have been into the Eclipse several times, the first two for a PP view Canucks game. Always downstairs in the Pub area. Found the food to be good, nothing special but some creative, different things on the Menu! Seems to me that each time i've been in they have changed the menu?? The servers have always been very good! All in all a good little pub. Checked out the resteraunt section though and I don't think I would go there for fine dining!

We were a group of 4 out for an early dinner on Saturday night before a play, We had reservations. And we had allowed a lot of extra time , to eat! We arrived to find the restaurant about 30% full . and only one waitress there, she seated us and dropped the menus and explained that she was the only waitress there. The other girl should be in soon! She told us that people don't usually come in this early?? We had to go up to the bar and order our bottle of wine . it was very slow coming. The waitress was quite good however over loaded bigtime. And the service was slow at best. Have been to this restaurant before and as usual the roast lamb was very good. and the portions were excellent. It seems to me that the management should get it together a lot better, they have been around in the business long enough to know that Saturday nights will be busy by 5 or 5 30 in the Burbs . The other waitress didn't show up until almost 7 pm by then the restaurant was quite full and the people coming in must have been getting extremely slow service, (A restaurant this size should have at least 3 servers on a Sat. night)
Kudos to the chef , and the overworked waitress, however unless you have a lot of time to wait around for your server look elsewhere

August Menu change bad idea
Submitted Wednesday, January 9, 2008 - 12:40am [Dine in]

Found Cats Meow in Early 2007 The Coconut Shrimp were to die for . Often when we were in the City we would make a special trip to soak up the ambiance of the patio, not to mention the eye candy servers , and have a couple of beers and taste some prawns . Went in on a sunny late afternoon in August and the menu was different, The prawns were there but not the same. different preperation and different sauce. The service this day was brutal . the servers had no idea what they were there to do . and when eventually we asked for the manager he was also not the sharpest knife in the drawer. All in all a bad experience. Haven't been back . Several other posters have mentioned the menu change in a negative way. Moral of the story "If it aint broken don't fix it!!
