plum wine and tapas!
Submitted Thursday, December 10, 2009 - 3:58pm [Dine in]

I have heard a lot about this place and never really got a chance to try it, but last night I went there with a couple of my girlfriends and surprisingly I had a wonderful time! We had a lot of plum wine and we tried a lot of the tapas and they were quite enjoyable. I think what wowed me the most was the interior it feels like a Japanese Bar and the atmosphere was great! I think my only complaint is the washrooms... but other than that it has amazing food and drinks!

I would say this is one of the Japanese izakaya place that I go to and it would always be a lovely experience.

Its a cozy little place full of life! They have an amazing selection of skewers that its great to munch on with a glass of plum wine. My girlfriends and I love to hang out at this place for dinner and drinks before we hit up the clubs.

Definately a must go!

Great Little Place!
Submitted Wednesday, December 2, 2009 - 1:21am [Dine in]

I went here with my godmother to Abigail's party a couple weeks back, and mind you she is one picky lady!

We had an awesome server who spent sometime entertaining us with a story of his life before serving us our soup and bread - which I must say was quite enjoyable.

I had steak and yam frites which were fantastic, I am a big fan of yam fries and I have yet to find a place that served them this well.

The ambiance of the place was quite dark lit up with candlelight, I myself quite liked it but I think they could of used a tiny bit more light.

We had a great night and really did enjoy talking to our server - he definately made it memorable.

Good Place For Drinks and Appys w/friends
Submitted Tuesday, December 1, 2009 - 10:06pm [Dine in]

So my girlfriends and I decided to eat at Goldfish - it was a night full of appys' wine, dessert & gossip. We were really impressed with the interior of the place very modern and chic. I loved the chairs!

We ordered a variety of appetizers which consisted of:
HOUSE MADE POTATO CHIPS
FRESHLY SHUCKED OYSTERS
MINI CRAB CAKES
SATAYS
TUNA TARTARE

They were really good very nicely presented (and I understand that was what we were paying for)

The desserts are okay - its best if we went somewhere else for desserts.

Overall I enjoyed myself we loved our server!

Great place to hang out when Starbucks is full
Submitted Tuesday, December 1, 2009 - 3:48pm [Dine in]

So I am sitting here thinking to myself why is there no one here? I guess its a little hard to find, I myself pass by it many times when I go to Starbucks. But what made me come in here was because Starbucks was full and I needed to use the internet.

I ordered the Spinach & Mushroom Crepe - which was actually really good, better than what I expected - its actually comparable to cafe crepe. The crepes are valued at 4.50 each its great for a light lunch or quick snack!

They have a small open bar for bubble tea and the first thing I asked them if they made mango bubble tea out of powder and I was surprised to find that it was made with puree and actual mango sauce - their bubble tea in my opinion is too cheap (3.50) compared to places in downtown which still makes their mango milk bubble tea out of powder and they charge $5.00!!!

I liked this small place because its fairly quiet during the afternoons, a few students and local businesses come by for take out.

I will definately come back for their PARFAITS which is what they specialize in!
