Hidden Gem in Collingwood puts Anton's to shame!
Submitted Thursday, June 7, 2012 - 9:22am [Dine in]

We have been regulars for nearly 8 years. The quality of the food is consistently good, the portions are generous, and Hasco (the owner) is a kindhearted gentleman. They will deliver within Collingwood for no charge. The Salad Verde is a unique offering in the city, as is the PortoFino pasta. Pizza's and bread are delicious. The dining room is modest and rather packed full during weekday lunchtime (thanks to the Telus employees just a few blocks down Kingsway). Evenings and weekends, the dining room usually has at least 1-2 tables open at all times. Lots of value, lots of taste, and you'd never know it was there if you drove by. Nearly all his customers are word of mouth referrals or repeat customers, and I think that says a lot.

Excellent food, well priced, and authentic!

Very casual, clean, and warm environment. Order at the counter, wait for your food to arrive, and maybe take in a live band or two. The food is well priced, and the choices are far more interesting that most "Americanized" Mexican restaurants in town. The service isn't lightning quick, but the relaxed pace is welcome, and the food is worth the wait. True, the neighborhood is gritty - so if you need the sanitized perfection of a "Milestones" you might wanna stick to the suburbs.
