We went to Coast and the experience was ok, but what got me was why would a restaurant that is a seafood restaurant would sell halibut when its not in season? I ask the server what he would recommend and he said the halibut, so I went with it, and to no surprise it was a previously frozen piece of fish. The server was your old school waitor, which on paper is a big improvement than some of the kids that work in the chains, but in reality he was unfriendly and made the whole experience even worse.
I had heard from others that had been that it was expensive, and that the portions were too small, but when we went the food was nothing but excellent. The organic duck dish was great, and the dessert was something to write home about. I do however need to agree about the expensive part, our bill was over $250 for two of us, but the amount of bad food and service I have received from other restaurants I would say it was worth it. Its not like I will dine here every week, but on special occasions its nice to go here to avoid a disaster.
Been to this place about three to four times, and every single time except for the first time it has been a huge disappointment in regards to the food, it is the McDonalds of sushi, wait is it wings, wait what is this place again?!? I love the way they decorated the place, but if I want to look at nice interiors I will stay home. The service is hit and miss, never going back...
The previous reviews on this restaurant are too extreme, this is not a bad restaurant nor the best ever, the food is solid persian food, the service is good too, I have only been once but I would go more if I could.
