I wish I had good things to say about this place since it's in a great location but It is far from a good or decent dining experience!

Me and my husband used to dine here regularly even though the food was never really up to par, there used to be some really nice servers at one time. Unfortunately the owner has left young, unprofessional, rude and extremely disrespectful people to now run the show.

We ordered the boat special which we normally do and an additional chicken teriyaki. The chicken had so much fat on it I wonder now after the entire experience if it was done deliberately. The fish was not the freshest but this is the norm. for this place. We didn't bother to complain about the food since the service staff wouldn't care either way.

The service was extremely horrible! It started when the waitresses (girls) kept walking by our table and offering to refill our tea's and giggling about something that we had no idea what they were laughing at. Then they went behind the front desk and were pointing at us and talking, they must of told the rest of the staff (2 more young waiters, 1 young "acting manager" and 1 more female") about whatever seemed to be so funny. We ignored this and continued eating and assumed they were being typical immature staff who have obviously no clue about running a business. What happened next really drew the line! One of the waiters walked by our table and turned to where the tea pot was and made the face, the sound and the action of spitting inside our tea pot!!! He turned around to see if the immature waitresses saw him do it and sure enough they were standing there egging him on and they all started laughing!! We asked for the manager and he must of been around 19 or so, and he was also involved with the earlier giggling and gossiping going on in the front. He apologized and said they were just "playing"!!! The girl waitress continued to walk by our table and would purposely stop at our table and just start scratching her head over our food! Very unsanitary!

Needless to say, after dining the 4 of us all experienced stomach cramping and of course followed by the usual food poisoning. I can only imagine what they did to our food in the back and the worst part is it seemed so deliberate as though they didn't care. I plan on calling the health inspectors and notifying them about this restaurant and the complete disregard to patron's health and not to mention feelings. I still cannot believe we paid for the bill, we should of walked out rather than submit ourselves to all of this abuse.

I do not recommend this place to anyone, not for food and especially not for service. There are many other sushi restaurants on Davie and Richards that have so much more to offer. I/we will never return!
