Actually it's pretty good.

I ate here as a party of 5 for lunch on a week day. The place was packed inside and out with the business crowd. Very little tourists. I saw the oath sheet to pay only what I felt the meal was worth.

I had the Tuna Tataki which was seared in an ultra spicy cajun spice with edamame, and a mango coulis. Beautiful garnished with radishes, fried lotus, cucumber.

The disappointing thing was that we also ordered the Sushi Bombs, which are balls of rice with sushi toppings on them and they were garnished the EXACT SAME WAY!! WHY!?

So let me explain the sushi bombs. You put the sushi bomb into your mouth then you squeeze the little tubes of sauce into your mouth with it for a squirt of flavor. The bomb was DELICIOUS. The sauce was taste but there was too much of it so I only used a bit and it was fine. Overall kinda fun and something I'd like to try at a house party, but not at a restaurant again.

Meal was the crispy chicken burger with fries. The breaded chicken fillet was delicious, BUT a little bit dry. If it had been cooked a little less, it would have be perfect. The butter lettuce inside was wilted a little bit, but not enough for me to be concerned. Fries were disappointing. crisp throughout. I prefer fries that are crisp on the outside and soft in the inside.

It was about on the same level as Earls or Cactus club. I wasn't impressed but I wasn't put off. It certainly doesn't deserve the negative reviews its been receiving IMHO. I prefered the Transcontinental menu and decor.

My SO and I bike here almost every other weekend to have their AMAZING french fries. Fresh cut and made to order. They are crazy busy, always, even in the winter.

Having grown up in a small Vancouver Island Fishing Village eating fish every day in the summers, I am extremely critical about fish and it's freshness. I have absolutely no complaints. We usually get a large cone of Salmon with fries and share it between the two of us. It's our happy place and I highly recommend it, so long as you aren't in front of me in the line ;)

The only thing is.. it's really slow. Maybe not enough fryers, too many staff, too many orders, but you can expect to wait 15 mins minimum as they make their fish to order, or even up to an hour if it's super busy from the point you put your order in. Get an ice cream to tide you over if you are desperate.

Great pizza but pricey

The pizza is great. but I find the servings small. The topping combinations are unusual and creative. Many of them that I like alot. For example: The Caramelized duck confit, bocconcini, enoki mushroom, chive and tomato relish pizza.

Regardless, the pizza is relatively expensive so not sure its worth the value. For me its a treat to have once in a while.

I'm a big big fan. It's not a great location, but the croissants make it worth the effort to the middle of no where. It didn't seem to deter the dozens of people that were in there either. Thomas and his wife were there, putting in their personal touches, talking to people. I admire a couple that's willing to get their hands dirty and meet their clientele. Enjoyable.

Food: First off the menu is very very limited. I didn't really see anything I thought would be appealing but we felt it would be rude to leave (ie:// make a mad dash for Incendio down the street).

We shared the daily pizza of the day and a featured duck entree. The pizza was so bad I would have considered the pizza a "BOMB" in my own kitchen and probably wouldn't have eaten more than 1 slice out of sheer hunger and guilt over the price. The duck was so undercooked I thought I was eating duck sashimi. We saw a poorly presented bowl of mussels go by and mused about how much we missed Twisted Fork, where we customarily get Duck and Mussels. Surprised that anyone can present a classic dish like mussels in an unappealing manner.

Service: Timing was good. Service was adequate without being cloying. No complaints.

Value: Expensive. $22 for an unappetizing SMALL entree. I've had servings at tapas restaurants like Guu that were more substantial.

Ambiance: Well we came because it was listed as one of the best patios in the city and I'll give it that. Gastown is lovely in the summer. The patio was lovely, however it was also very large, and crowded. The cocktails looked yummy but I think if I wanted cocktails of that calibre I'd just go to Refinery where they make their own bitters with local handpicked ingredients and their food is more appetizing.

Over all... would not go back again... and wished I paid better heed to these reviews... It is really terrible at Chill Winston. I can't even remember a place thats worse.

It's the new kid on the block but its a goodie. After having sour grainy frozen yoghurt at other places in the past, I had low low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The decor is simple and comfortable, clean and contemporary. Seating to chill with some friends and a nice selection of toppings. I had the Mango Strawberry with the large Froyo. DELICIOUS! I found it really cute that they garnished it with a chocolate pockey.

It was like less sweet ice cream with refreshing fruit instead of icky sweet DQ with a crapload of chocolate sauce. It got me so excited about soft serve Frozen Yoghurt that when I saw a similiar type frozen yoghurt establishment on Kitsilano I jumped to have more... but was disappointed once more. This settled it to me that the only place to get my fix is from Froyo.

It's close enough to work that when I'm having a tough day/week I can hoof over there for a pick me up.

I hope other people discover this gem so that I can continue to enjoy this treat. YUMMEH!

I come here often with my old man and his old man (dad). The food is acceptable, not fantastic.. but decent for the price you pay. There's alot of TVs and it's quite loud. Lots of seating and the live cover bands are pretty good. as Far as pubs go, it's fine. The Fish and Chips is a good deal here, but probably better on the wharf imo.

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was delicious, the prices right. I found the service a bit aloof however... and I didn't really feel like I was getting much attention. I didn't get water for the entire meal, despite asking for it many times. That is a peeve of mine. I'm thirsty dammit!

Have the baked beans. have the fried oysters, and have any of the jambalayas.

The only thing going for this place is the size of it's portions. The service every time i've been there has been horribly negligent, and the line ups to get into the place are obscene. This place is way about the hype, and less about the taste of the food. Because there is such a long line up, the staff believe they can treat their customers like crap. It's worth going if you want a big portion you can eat for 4 meals.
