nyummy rolls!
Submitted Sunday, June 10, 2007 - 6:31pm [Dine in]

Food: We ordered the double dragon roll, awesome roll, and red hot roll... here's my take on each one of them:
1. double dragon roll: the unagi here is really good... tender and no fishy smell... better than the other unagi i've eaten before
2. awesome roll: it's unique to this place so you should try it out at least once... i like the bonito and the sauce they use...
3. red hot roll: fresh tuna and scallops... not too spicy

Service: although the waiters are really friendly, they are not that good... service's slow even tho the place's not that busy

Ambiance: blah, nothing special about the ambiance... just a hole in the wall kinda thing

Overall: they deserve a 4 because their sushi rolls are unique and they taste good... not too expensive too... the 3 rolls above cost a total of $ 21 before tip

Food: not bad at all. We ordered roti canai, bbq unagi fried rice, Peking Braised Tender Spareribs, and green tea Crème brûlée. The bill was $ 32.49 for all of this (before tip). Opinion on each of the items:
1. Roti Canai: nothing special, something you can get anywhere else
2. BBQ Unagi Fried Rice: the fried rice itself is pretty good; asian style just the way I like it. The BBQ Unagi tastes like something you would get when you order unagi roll from a sushi restaurant
3. Peking Braied Tender Spareribs: this dish deserve some compliments. The spareribs are pretty tender and the sauce is pretty good
4. Green Tea Crème brûlée: not bad, not bad...

Service: fast and good... we dined when it was not that busy though...

Ambiance: oriental but trendy... I think they could get a better table though... it looks kind of like food court tables...

Overall: should come and try... i'll probably come back again since the quality of food is pretty good and the price's not bad too... besides...it's right under Paramount so a good place to hangout before your movie plays ;)

Big bang for the buck

Food: fresh sushi and awesome teriyaki sauce! the teriyaki sauce tastes different, I think they made their own sauce or something like that. I usually get the nigiri box A which is a combination of sushi and cooked food; they all taste good, better than your average sushi place

Service: dependent on how crowded the place gets. The service's pretty good when it's quiet but when it gets busy, oh my, super slow service

Ambiance: I think the place looks pretty good. I agree that the location is pretty peculiar and there's no ventilation but it's clean and it has Japanese decor so this is pretty good for me

Overall: I gave 4 stars because they deliver consistent, good quality food with decent price. Imagine, $ 10.95 for 2 salmon sushi, 2 tuna sushi, 1 ebi sushi, 4 california sushi, rice + miso, tempura, teriyaki chicken, and green salad. Should try out this place!
