a very good place to go, the decor is very modern and the service is very welcoming. the food quality exceeds the price it asks for, especially the 1 dollar sate, which is about twice the size compare to other restaurants. me and my gf was so full, yet when the bill came its only a mere 30 dollars. a definitely must try.

a gem hiding in richmond

I have always been a regular to this restaurant. When the owner closed thier old store in kerrisdale i was so depressed because I thought another good restaurant is gone from my list. Now they have reopened in richmond, hiding in a tiny alley. Yet the food was better than ever. Before they mainly serve spaghetti, and not many selection of main courses. Now they are serving more and more exotic food, yet the price still remain reasonable. Me and my girl friend went there yesterday on valentines day, and the set dinner course for 2 are only 100, which includes 4 dishes + dissert + 2 cup of complementary wine. This is the cheapest price for a valentine dinner i have heard so far. And the quality of the food is still amazing, regardless the restaurant is fully seated. I would definitely go more often. People in richmond, thanks to this restaurant, you no longer need to drive to dt or vancouver for some good quality but resonalbe priced italian cuisine.

Took my girl there for our anniversary, the view is incredible, however the food is less than satisfying with the price it came with. I ordered the nova scotia lobster. And instead of the steamed vegetable or mashed/baked potato that you would normally anticipated, it comes with stirred beans, and some grilled pepper, it felt like im eating mexican food! not its anything wrong though, its just very weird and doest pair with the lobster at all. I felt that the dish is like a great movie with many best stars, but they hired a 3 year old to write the script, with crayons, cuz u just cant make a fresh lobster wrong. My gf had the baked sole, and its just very plain, nothing thats you cant get at other place. Sure, the view is great, yet it cost me 140 bux for 2. What i would suggest is to go there during day time for either brunch or lunch, a summer evening, or just go to the its sister restaurant "fish house" instead. The best thing i can say is that this place is they do serve fresh ingredients, but other than that, theres not so much to dig for.
